One of my favorite local chain restaurants. Gluten free pizza, gluten-free dessert and ciders. Staff is very careful, pizza is a great value and you can place your order before you even get there either for takeaway or so that it’s ready when you are seated.
Yes
Staff was very helpful, however it didn’t matter how many questions were asked. Things are marked on the menu as GF but we’re not (Derby Cobb comes with blue cheese). Blue cheese dressing was also marked as GF in the allergy menu, doubt it actually is. We were assured that the pizza had it’s own tray, and the kitchen was notified of the allergy, but it still resulted in early morning vomiting and weeks of illness. Fryer is shared with fried chicken and other wheat products. Supposedly a gluten free burger would come with fries if we didn’t ask. Second star is definitely only because of our waiter.
No
I have Celiac disease but was able to eat here with no problems. They have a gluten free menu you need to ask for.
Yes
Ok GF options, but it's just mass produced, Cisco frozen food and tastes like it. Most servers not well versed in anything GF. Ok place to go with others who aren't healthy eaters
Limited GF options. Been a couple of times in a pinch but wouldn't go out of my way to find here.
I had one of the steaks (new york steak i think) and the cheddar mashed potatoes. It was sooo good. I've been back to have it again too. I just take care to say "i'm really allergic to gluten, can you please tell the chef." Mmm...
I think it's great BJ's has a gf menu. Last night, we drove South of SF to watch to the sunset and get some gf takeout from BJ's. I ordered the BBQ Chicken Salad. BJ's was packed. By the time our order was ready I forgot to open it and check everything. When I got home and opened the salad, it was covered in battered fried onions! After removing them, which really wasn't too difficult or damaging to the salad, I was super excited to dive into my gf yumminess! Never happened. The salad tasted so bland, I could bought one from a bad at Traders. While I very much appreciate BJ'S menu efforts, I believe I paid $16 for less than half a grilled chicken breast and a watery combo of lettuce, jicama, corn and mushy tomatoes. Definitely try some other gf menu items and let us know how they taste! :)
There is a separate GF menu. The staff is knowledgeable and the person who delivered my meal also has celiac. I have a pepper and potato allergy as well as gluten. A person from the kitchen came out to confirm my order. I felt safe and the food was very good.

I was pleasantly surprised at how well both my waitress and the kitchen staff understood the need to avoid cross-contamination in the kitchen with my food! The food was carefully made under the head cooks guidance, they marked it, and brought it out separately to ensure that nothing would happen to it while preparing other foods. My hamburger was delicious and I even enjoyed the gluten free bun they gave me!
Best of all, I never once got sick from it after we left! I'd go back again!

I went to Bj’s Brewhouse and had the Baja bowl with only vegetables. About 30 minutes after eating I got very ill. I’ve eaten there a few other times, but had pizza or salad. I didn’t get sick any of those times.

Ordered the burger with gluten free bun. Looked too good to be true, but receipt (was a to go order) said gluten free in huge letter so I thought oh surely... Nope. So sick

I wish I could give zero stars. Told the waiter twice I have celiacs, he brought out my food and I took one bite and knew it was gluten. Do not come if you have celiac I got sick eating here.
