Excellent GF options. I am submitting pics of the GF menu. The lettuce wrapped burger was delicious.

GF buns & burgers! They recently added a QR code link to the allergen menus on their physical menu. There’s a gluten free section which specifies what would be cross-contaminated too. The chips, for example, are cross contaminated, but I think they changed up their side salad recently and I really like it. The server confirmed that they would make the burgers in a separate area on the grill.
To make the milkshakes safe from cross-contamination, they can mix them by hand in to-go containers (since the metal equipment can get scratched up and contaminated). I also found out you can ask for the signature shake flavors without some of the ingredients, so I got the strawberry pretzel one without the pretzels.

They aren’t very careful with Door-Dash orders. I was staying nearby and decided to give it a chance. I looked up their GF menu online and ordered a lettuce wrapped cheeseburger with no side. I put in the notes that I was Gluten Free. They added the kettle chips to the side of my order. I called and they confirmed that the kettle chips are fried in a shared fryer so there is chance of cross-contamination.

This place was amazing. They let you build your own burger. Good GF buns. Thick bacon. Highly recommend!

It’s our first time at Burgatory and we highly recommend it! They have a QR code on the menu which leads you to their gluten free listings. We each had a lettuce wrapped bison burger (they do have GF buns if you want them) and they were delicious! Isaac, our server, couldn’t have been more helpful about making sure that everything was prepared safely. I had the quinoa salad (delish!) and my hubby got the baked beans. He said they were good but had some heat to them after several bites. He isn’t GF but stayed with the gf menu tonight. He loved having a root beer float to go with his meal. You cannot get the fries or the chips due to cross contamination issues but do have a few different salad and slaw options to choose from. Great place to eat on the North Shore!

OMG, my burger with a gf bun was fabulous!!! The bun did not crack and fall apart. They even had a gf IPA (Aurochs), which I enjoyed. GF menu is diverse and well laid out. I’m definitely coming back the next time I’m in Pittsburgh.

EXCELLENT burgers. Staff was knowledgeable and answered questions. The GF menu can be accessed through a QR code on the menu or on their website. I got a custom bison burger on a lettuce wrap. Only complaint is that there are very few GF side options; there is no dedicated fryer, and both the chips and fries are cross-contaminated. Overall tasty, safe food that is a bit more on the expensive side. A great place to stop before a Pirates game!

Great spot right by PNC Park. The restaurant understands celiac and over half the menu can be made celiac safe. Had a burger on good gluten free roll. The chips are not celiac safe but the Napa slaw is and they also made me a gluten free side salad to replace the chips. I even had a gluten free beer from Aurochs…a local dedicated Gluten Free brewery outside Pittsburgh.

This was the BEST GF burger I’ve ever had! I created my own: Cajun rub, bourbon bbq sauce with cheddar jack cheese and bacon on their gluten free bun! Delicious!

Burgatory is fantastic about accommodating gluten free to a Celiac level. I wish they had more gf sides, but the burgers and shakes are worth it, especially the vegan shakes. One time, they brought out my burger with chips (not GF) and once the main waitress noticed, they sent it back immediately. The manager came out to apologize, comped our meal, and rushed us a new one (on a game night mind you). They even carry Aurochs gluten free beer.

I had dinner here last night. Waitress was knowledgeable. She explained process for preparing my food separately. I used their online gluten free menu to build a customized burger with safe toppings. Gluten free bun was very good as well as the Napa slaw. I recommend this place but be careful about the toppings you choose as some are prone to cross contamination which they note on their menu.

Great burger! The complain is that it is very limited sides available gf.
The burgers are flame grilled and taste AMAZING! I had mine lettuce wrapped and my husband had his with the GF burger and both had our minds blown! We had the chips with them and thought they were great too. They have a cider on tap and one in a bottle to choose from. Wish they had this chain in Texas. We will definitely be back next time we are in Pittsburgh!!

Was visiting Pittsburgh and searching for GF friendly spots. Burgatory was a great find. They have a separate GF menu, which is pretty big! Milkshakes too!
Burger was OK. Too much salt in the rub imo. I asked for it to be cooked with just a little pink, it came out super pink.
Avoid if you have celiac. I came here based on the other reviews. I told them I have celiac and ordered a burger with no bun and a side of greens from their gluten free menu. My girlfriend, who ordered from the regular menu, got the veggie burger (not gluten free). As I was well into my meal I noticed some odd looking bits in my salad which turned out to be pieces of the veggie burger that must’ve fallen into my food when the plates being carried out together. Either that, or they were cooked on the same grill. The manager came out, apologized and refunded my burger. The waitress oddly didn’t acknowledge the incident, pretending that the whole thing never happened. She just brought the check and said “thanks for coming” and walked away. I felt a little sick for the next few days. Stay away if you have celiac!

Knowledgeable staff, separate menu, good food!
They have a separate GF menu and are very accommodating. You can build your own burger, and items that could pose a cross contamination risk are indicated so that you can choose to avoid. Lots of great, safe options! A hard cider was on tap.

Burgatory has a GF menu and a lot of burger topping choices. A number of sides but not French fries. Appears to have processes in place to keep celiacs safe.

I had a good experience here overall. They have a separate gluten free menu, which is helpful, especially since they list all gluten free options for the customizable burgers. I got the grape soda float, and made a custom burger with a GF bun. The bun was pretty dry and hard in spots, but the burger itself was good. Unfortunately the fries are not safe to eat, and I really miss eating fries when having a burger! The slaw was good, though. I felt great afterwards; did not feel sick at all, although I was on a major sugar high from the grape soda float 😂

This place is mostly safe. It depends on when you come and who you waits your table. I always get the lettuce wrap - no bun. Not even the GF bun. I have gotten sick from the burger with a lettuce wrap a few times and other times I’ve been fine. Stay away when they’re busy. Make sure the wait staff writes down that you’re gluten free and they understand what that means and convey the information to the kitchen.
