Large GF menu, but I had a bad reaction by the next morning. This place might be fine for some, but I am a celiac who is very sensitive to gluten, and it was not ok for me.

I was looking forward to dining here but experienced problems from the start. First off, language barrier issues with the server when self identified as celiac/gluten allergy. Secondly, the waiter didn’t seem aware of celiac or gluten allergy concerns and pointed to “GF” on the menu. I ordered egg drop soup marked GF and was provided wontons. Obviously I questioned this and it took me pushing the issue to management. Needless to say I was cautious and requested to speak with the chef or owner about cross contamination. The owner seemed bothered by my concern and said he would note the request in addition to the menu item and walked away. Long story short…I was gluttened despite engagement with both waiter and owner. Disappointed to say the least with the owners attitude toward food safety concerns and inability to prevent cross contamination. Do not recommend this as a safe spot for celiac or those with gluten allergies.

Great find if your in the area it’s worth it. I tried the Fried Calamari and it was really fantastic. The Crispy Shrimp 🍤 with walnuts was very tasty and something new for me and Phad Thai was really good. I was nervous eating anything fried but I felt just fine. I wish just wish I lived close enough to go on a routinely.

I eat here everytime I come to Virginia! I have celiacs, and I am extremely sensitive! I have not once been sick here! The honey walnut shrimp is gluten free and fabulous! I also really love the Shanghai style fried rice cakes with pork. So so yummy!!

Not only was the staff knowledgeable about CD and GF food, they have a huge menu with dozens of GF options. The food is also really good. We’ll be back!

Excellent Gluten Free options! Have eaten there many, many times, have never had a problem with any of the food or cross contamination. Delivery quality is just as good. Best Gluten Free Chinese in area.

Found Cheng's on Uber Eats for delivery during Covid-19. So glad I did... Absolutely the best gluten-free chinese food I've had. Looking at their website, I now realize it's the same owner as the former Pacific in Sterling (a past favorite). Uber Eats has separate sub-menus for their GF apps and entrees... Also make it easy in options to select spiciness. Entree portions are generous.

The gluten free menu was big and not pricey. I got the battered shrimp with honey and walnuts. It came with white rice and broccoli and the sauce on the side. It was delicious! I tried the coconut chicken soup but it was too spicy. I wish I lived closer so I could get this Chinese food all the time.

Fantastic local place. Nice gluten free section. Never gotten sick. The Crispy Shrimp with honey Walnut is my favorite! I want to make it through the whole gluten free section, but the shrine keeps tempting me back. :) And they're doing curbside pickup in the this crazy time. Support local. Love this place!

Wonderful gf food, great staff. Welcoming atmosphere. Definitely recommend crispy shrimp and calamari. It was the best we have ever had!!! Ate there 2 of 3 nights in town!!! Incredible GF experience!!!

The food here is so good and safe! My husband works right next to the restaurant so I order online and he picks it up on his way home. I usually get the rainbow chicken and chicken fried rice. I have never had issues. Highly recommend.

Have been here twice. Stop here on my way home after flying into IAD and have not been disappointed either time. The service and knowledge of the staff is fantastic. You feel wanted here. The food is sooooo good and I don't feel like the quality is less than what someone eating gluten is getting. I have celiac disease and have zero problem eating here. They always ask my husband if he also needs gluten free to verify. I would recommend this place to anyone with celiac and I am extremely cautious about that.

This place is wonderful! Great gluten free menu, so many options! The fried rice was amazing! We also got peach flambé for dessert which was wonderful and cooked at our table by the manager! The staff was very friendly, knowledgable, and helpful. This restaurant is a hidden gem.

Have eaten at Cheng's Asian House three different times. Gluten free menu is outstanding! I love the gf fried calamari and the gf shrimp, beef, and chicken! Service both dining in and carrying out is outstanding. Prices are excellent!

The service and knowledge here is unbelievable. It's usually difficult to find authentic Asian restaurants who know what gluten is. The waitress and the owner made me feel completely comfortable. They have a dedicated menu and they will work with you if your dish isn't on their gluten free menu.
