I was excited to check this place out today. It wasn't exactly what I was expecting. I was expecting it to be heavier in green salads, this was heavy on different types of cold chicken salad that you'd make sandwiches out of. That's ok, I love chicken salad too, and I'm flexible.
I chose a southern style chicken salad on their classic salad with honey Mustard dressing.
And it was blah. Honestly, for a place that says the founder's mission was to find the perfect chicken salad I expected more. I did not feel like the chicken salad I got, nor the "spicy" (not really) pimento chicken salad that my husband got, were anything but bland. My husband (who isn't GF) said their mac was thick and pasty without much flavor either. Like I said, it was just blah. I expected more, especially at the price.
I feel like it was safe, but barely. I had asked them to flag my meal as GF making sure he knew I was super sensitive to cross contact, but then they still added (individually wrapped) crackers and a cookie to my plate? Sure, I don't feel like there was cross contact, but still felt a little violated. And it didn't leave me with much confidence that they were as careful to avoid cross contact as they promised with the utensils they used in the kitchen.

The chicken salad all flavors are safe except the seasonal one with teriyaki and the bbq one. I had the Lauryn’s Lemon basil on salad with ranch. It was delicious! No reaction. They are willing to change gloves.

First visit to this chain restaurant. It was nice to have a large variety of chicken salads. I added the “Fancy Nancy” chicken salad to a plain “Classic Salad” (i.e. greens with a few additions). They do not have GF breads for the sandwich options. The soups available the day I was there were not GF. I enjoyed my salad (note: a regular cookie wrapped in heavy cellophane was on the side of my tray) and found it a satisfying lunch portion for a regular appetite. The order taker was attentive to my Celiac GF request and noted it on the register. My guess is the person who actually brought me my salad didn’t know this so added the complimentary cookie on the edge of the tray. She was surprised when I immediately removed it with a polite but emphatic “oh no” explanation. I will return for another visit in hopes the soups of the day are GF. The more we ask for GF options, the sooner they become available.

Allergen Menu posted online was very helpful. Unsure about cross-contamination procedures in kitchen, but staff was helpful when I confirmed that the wrap was GF. And it was tasty!!

Plenty of gluten free options! And you can ask for their allergen menu, they keep it behind the register. Quickly let me identify what on their menu is gluten free. At the time of writing this all their chicken salad scoops are gf and they have several side options too!

Went there for the first time today and got the gluten free wrap and the barbie Q chicken salad. Within 2 hours I was sick. I won’t be back.
