They same guy did my order all through the line. He washed his hands and changed his gloves and used foil on my order.

My husband is celiac. We just moved from a place in Utah where we had a Costa Vida close by that wasn't careful and despite Costa Vida having many gluten-free options, they always made my husband sick every time he went there. With that experience, he was really hesitant to go to this location. But we read so many good reviews on here about them being very careful, so we went. They were great! My husband is so happy!
**They say everything is gluten-free besides the tortillas. They took extra precautions to not cross contaminate their food.

Employee said he has celiacs and they try really hard to keep things safe. I eat here 3-4 times a month and usually don’t have any issues.

From their allergen list: We have worked diligently to remove wheat gluten from all our sauces, dressings, and proteins. Natural glutens remain only in our flour and wheat tortillas and in two desserts--tres leches and key lime pie. This means that we offer "oceans of gluten-free options" in our menu. All of these items are gluten-free: all enchiladas, all tacos, all salads (without the flour or wheat tortilla), all nachos, and our chicken tortilla so up...which uses corn strips.
When I told them my daughter had celiacs disease the First Lady took off a set of gloves(had 2 on), washed her surface, and pulled from the middle of the stack for her bowel. She informed everyone about her celiacs. The 2nd lady washed her hands to finish preparing her food! My daughter was so excited to be able to eat there considering she was diagnosed 5 days ago!
Most items are gluten free! They prepare food with clean hands and gloves and use foil to keep from cross contamination.

One of wife's favorite places to eat, so I've eaten here many times. I have Celiacs and have never had a problem. Knowledgeable staff, if you tell them you have Celiacs, they'll change gloves, etc. Tasty food.

So I am finally accepting my allergy. I looked up another Mexican restaurant similar to this one and discovered that even the SALSA has gluten in it! The staff here was so accommodating for my allergy and changed their gloves. I learned that pretty much everything there (except the flour tortillas) is gluten free!!!! I’m so happy and so is my stomach!!

Apparently only 4 items on the menu at Costa Vida contain gluten! The employees at this location have been great to work with every time I have eaten here. I ask them to change their gloves because I have Celiac Disease and they are always polite and willing. I have eaten there multiple times since my diagnosis and have not had an issue yet. I normally order the nachos because I am unsure if they cook their corn tortillas on a separate surface than the flour.
I was grateful for the effort of washing and changing gloves, but I still got sick. Cross contamination all over the place. Saw wheat tortiallas draping into the toppings, same utinsels were used that touched the wheat tortillas. If they had seperate toppings used only on GF and its own area I'd come back all the time.
Super good staff. When we ordered corn, thgey immediately asked if we had a gluten allergy. All members washed their hands and changed gloves before touching our plates. Neither of us are sick tonight! Food was good. We had shredded beef enchiladas. Refried beans are a bit spicier than most places, but I mixed spur cream in to make them milder. We will be back!

Always a great choice! They pride themselves on being gluten free. I've never had a problem.

This place is my FAVORITE!!!! They are so careful to keep cross contamination from happening! Yummy fast food!
so many choices and staff was careful not to cross contaminate
Not all the workers seem know about the gf protocols but when they do, they are very good at following them; changing their gloves, getting certain foods from the original containers etc.

I had a sweet pork salad. The person that helped me wasn’t sure about my questions but the shift manager helped out. Gloves changed, one person took my order through the whole line. Fryer is GF and tortilla strips are safe.
Only thing in the restaurant with gluten are the flour tortillas. Watch your food and it looks at least as safe as Chipotle…honestly maybe a bit safer because they use utensils for lettuce and cheese where other places use gloves.
