One of my favorite Mexican places. This specific location is a really good one and they are very careful about cross contamination (changing gloves, dedicated equipment, etc) however, I have had poor experiences in the past at other locations, so beware.

This location usually does a good job of not making me sick. I recently acquired a NimaPartners gluten sensor, and my chicken salad tested as gluten free, so this is a safe location for people with celiac and other gluten intolerances.

Delicious as usual! Ordered online GF friendly grilled chicken salad. Staff was friendly and order was ready right on time. Portions were the best I think I’ve ever had at any Costa location so I was very impressed about that. The vinaigrette dressing was also FANTASTIC! Which isn’t always the case in past experiences at OTHER locations (sometimes it’s too watered down or bitter).

From their allergen list: We have worked diligently to remove wheat gluten from all our sauces, dressings, and proteins. Natural glutens remain only in our flour and wheat tortillas and in two desserts--tres leches and key lime pie. This means that we offer "oceans of gluten-free options" in our menu. All of these items are gluten-free: all enchiladas, all tacos, all salads (without the flour or wheat tortilla), all nachos, and our chicken tortilla so up...which uses corn strips.
Staff member changed gloves as soon as I mentioned my meal needed to be gluten free.

The workers are very good at changing there gloves when getting the gluten-free corn tortillas, and also changing when they handle my food if they’ve had to handle someone else’s food. I get a little worried because sometimes the utensils they use for the meat, cheese, sauce, etc. sometimes touches the tortillas and goes back in the containers. But so far I’ve only gotten sick once when I’ve gone through the drive thru. So be extra careful when ordering that way.
Yes
As delicious and healthy as this place is, I have been contaminated several times. Even after asking them to change their gloves. They were always willing to help and make me feel welcome there. I’m just very sensitive and sadly won’t return. Luckily, I have many friends and family members with CS that can eat here just fine.

Gluten free tortillas are kept separate in a sealed bag, only brought out when asked for. All toppings and fillings are gluten free, save for the regular and whole wheat tortillas, tres leches cake, and key lime tart. The workers gladly change gloves when you two them the order is gluten free, and I have never had a reaction (painfully celiac since 2017)
Yes
Gloves may change but the stone they make their tortillas on for gf is the same for their wheat flour ones. No way that is gluten free and for sensitive Celiacs I would not eat or gamble here.
No
They are very good at accommodating Gluten Free. Be sure to tell them you need tour menu Gluten Free and the staff member will wash their hands and change their gloves and be the only staff member to touch your food.
Yes
Not all the workers seem know about the gf protocols but when they do, they are very good at following them; changing their gloves, getting certain foods from the original containers etc.

I had a sweet pork salad. The person that helped me wasn’t sure about my questions but the shift manager helped out. Gloves changed, one person took my order through the whole line. Fryer is GF and tortilla strips are safe.
Only thing in the restaurant with gluten are the flour tortillas. Watch your food and it looks at least as safe as Chipotle…honestly maybe a bit safer because they use utensils for lettuce and cheese where other places use gloves.
