Really solid gluten free offerings including well-crafted and exciting desserts - many have mentioned the impressive “I’m not a cheesecake.” From a culinary perspective, Davè is a very traditional restaurant and not particularly exciting but very reliable for providing exactly what you expect from the menu: think 4 star-, not boutique hotel- style. The service is excellent, the waiters are knowledgeable and kind about dietary restrictions and we ate with total confidence. Where Dave really exceeds is ambiance: we had a wonderful, romantic evening here with totally safe and delicious gluten free food, even if it wasn’t the most exciting in Siracuse. Make sure you book in advance, especially if you want outdoor seating.

We had a wonderful server who explained what was safe for me to eat. I ordered the excellent mussels and GF pasta and my husband had delicious lamb. Then we shared a white chocolate mousse with a gluten free crust. All so good.

Excellent late lunch at Dave’s. There is an allergen numbering system (#7 is wheat). I also let the waiter know that I must not eat gluten and he walked me through the menu. The salad with strawberries, almonds, and monzella was amazing the Spaghettone della Norma was made gluten free for me and it was good. They also had gluten free cannolo that they buy and fill with their ricotta recipe…. But I was too full to indulge. My mom had the non-gluten free version and she thought it was excellent!
