I love having Departed Soles in my neighborhood. They have a delicious and creative selection of gluten free beer. It is such a treat to be able to have this quality of beer as a Celiac. They offer flights, pints and cans to go. The people who work there are all super friendly and helpful.

Honestly the best gluten free beer, possibly in the world. I thought I had to give up the whole craft beer experience when I had to nix gluten, which was a huge letdown for me. When I started working near here I thought it was a sick joke that I had to smell a brewery all the time…was amazed to learn it specialized in gluten free beer!!! I feel so lucky to have this place nearby. I love taking my friends here and surprising them with a delicious gluten free flight. Brings so much joy to my life :)

Not a food place, btw, just great beer. Hudson hall down the block does quite a few gluten free options for food (and also serves departed soles beer) if you are traveling to visit the brewery and want a bite to eat.

Although I am not celiac, I am highly sensitive to gluten. Giving up beer was not easy and any gluten free beers I found were terrible, until I found Departed Soles Coffee Stout and New Jersey Ninja. Excellent taste and smooth when it goes down. Look for liquor stores that carry it in your neck of the woods via their website. The owner Brian opened the brewery in honor of his dear friend and cohort, who was a celiac.

They had three honest to goodness Gluten free beers on tap the night we went in. The staff is really knowledgeable. Ask about the story of how it started and the name. It's a great story. So awesome to get to drink good beer again!!!
