We decided to try 5 Guys on Eagle Rd again on a non busy evening. Unfortunately the order taking cashier was literally as uneducated as I’ve seen a human in YEARS! When his manager came over to help place the order after a brief scary moment of deer in the headlights, she ended up helping him place the order correctly in the computer. Unfortunately, I don’t think the staff is trained for celiac safe because of the stomachache I have this morning. I rate 5 Guys NOT safe for celiac unless you have proper order protocol memorized and a staff educated in protocol. Eating out lately in Idaho is proving unsafe.

Very accommodating. Knew celiac. Grabbed veggies from the back. Cooked burger on foil.

I just had some fries. They don’t have a bun for anything and I didn’t get the impression they were very knowledgeable about gluten.
Very very helpful and understanding staff. 10/10 would recommend.

One of my favorites! Delicious burgers and fries! Such a helpful and knowledgeable staff!
great burgers. one of my favorite gf burger joints.
Fries are delish!
Everything but the buns are gluten free!
Excellent food. Bun-less burgers and fries are safe (dedicated GF fryer). Reliable and delicious. Staff is careful to avoid cross-contamination.

I appreciate that they always ask if my lettuce wrapped order is an allergy. Fries are the only thing in the fryer, so no worries about cross contamination.

I’ve gone three times in two months and it’s been great every time. I tell them “allergy warning, I have celiac’s”. I order mine on lettuce (they do a really great job at wrapping the burger in lettuce), with everything on it.
I then inform them that my spouse would like a normal bacon burger on a bun. The staff has always reassured me and I hear them tell each other “allergy!” while cooking. They’ve always put my burger in a different bag marked “***ALLERGY***” and there was a red sticker on the tin foil of my burger.
If you’ve never been to a Five Guys, they have a very limited menu of just burgers (bacon, cheese, or plain) in three sizes, French fries (plain or Cajun), and milkshakes.
The only gluten items on the menu are the buns and malt. The chocolate shakes do not automatically come malted, so there’s never been a worry for me there.
