In-N-Out Burger

Definitely the safest place I’ve found in Wes Sac. I get a hamburger animal style and protein style and get the spread on the side. The only potential cc is from the spread. If you don’t get it on the side, they use the same container with a clean spreader and I’ve gotten sick from that before. So SPREAD ON THE SIDE and you’re good as it comes in packets!

They are very knowledgable and even packed my food separately from the rest of my order to make sure I knew what was GF.

This place has a very high potential of cross contamination. They use the same spatula to spread the "secret sauce" on to the buns as the do on the fries. They spread, put it back in, spread, put it back in. Therefore causing traces of gluten enough to make a celiac person sick in our food. I got super sick after eating animal style fries and my fiancé figured out it was from the spatula. This should be removed from the list

When ordering...just tell the cashier you would like any if their burgers protein style with a bread allergy

Be careful ordering here. I have witnessed them use the same knife to spread ‘spread’ on buns and then on my gluten allergy marked animal fries. My go to order here is Flying Dutchman and a fry, with spread packets on the side and haven’t been sick ordering this way.

🌾🚫 Gluten Free Items: Protein style (wrapped in lettuce) cheeseburgers and double doubles. Fries and shakes are also gluten free!

✴ Prior to ordering, let them know you have a gluten free order. I usually tell them “gluten allergy” and they put an allergy alert on the order as well as a verbal notification to the back. If you don’t mention “allergy” you’re subject to cross contamination.

They will cook the patty on a new and/or cleaned surface to avoid cross contamination. When any gluten free or other allergy order is made, they will note it on your order and also verbally tell the kitchen.

🐶 In-N-Out locations have outdoor seating that are dog friendly. Unsalted and plain “Pup Patties” are available for $1.05 each!

I’m so happy that I’ve been able to safely eat at 2 In & Outs since being diagnosed. They clearly noted gluten allergy on the receipt and my food-was on a separate tray. I’ve gotten the same thing for years- hamburger, protein style, mustard grilled, grilled onions, no spread, extra veggies - and a fries. I tried doing a double double before and it’s too messy- if I’m that hungry I order 2! I wasn’t sure about the ketchup so I just asked for mustard packets for my fries.
