I had the machete (my two chosen fillings were borrego and huitlacoche) and didn’t get sick. I doubt they know much about gluten or cross contamination, but as the previous reviewer said, a lot of dishes are made with corn. The taste and portions were great. This is a very authentic hidden gem.

It was very good. They're not very knowledgeable about gluten but cook with a lot of corn. After discussion about gluten (wheat, rye, barley & generally oats), I determined the huarache was made from corn (masa) with no wheat. This place is not TexMex; this is Mexican and reminds me of the food in Mexico. I went for breakfast and had the Huaraches Verdugo. The green salsa was very good. I'd go again and look forward to trying other menu items. I have CD and felt comfortable there but others might not. Their familiarity with gluten is typical of my experience in Mexico where I've always eaten safely even when they are unfamiliar with gluten and CD.
