The food here was absolutely delicious!! The waitress was very knowledgeable about celiac and was able to answer questions about shared fryers and cross-contamination. The chips are fried in separate fryers, but other fried items may be cooked in shared fryers. This restaurant had no “hidden” sources of gluten like soy sauce or bullion. The menu does have gluten free items marked, but this indication does include some items that are cooked in a shared fryer. Avoid fried foods (besides chips) and flour tortillas, everything else was safe!

The waitress was very knowledgeable about celiac. They said their chips have a separate fryer but the rest of the items share a fryer. Anything not fried can be safe from cross contamination.

La Dona is the sister restaurant to Adelitas and they share a kitchen. They are very knowledgable about Celiac Disease and take it seriously. The chips are in a shared fryer so they are not safe, though. I had the fish tacos, and they Nima tested safe. I am a super sensitive Celiac and had no issues. I will definitely eat here again!
