Amazing experience!! They really assure you that they take caution for gluten free foods, and have everything labeled on the menu. Even the ketchup on the table was gluten free!

Great experience. My son has celiac. The staff was very kind and experienced. His food was brought out separately with confirmation they avoided cross contamination. Lots of options

I can't even believe it - they have fish and chips - battered in gluten free batter and a gluten free fryer! So impressed. I haven't had fish and chips in years, this was an amazing treat. They are very knowledgeable as well and made sure everything was just right so I didn't get sick on my flight!

All staff are familiar with allergy requirements and were quick to point out that they have a GF fryer. The cook himself brought my fish and chips out and reassured me that it was made in a safe environment. A bit pricey, but well worth the peace of mind and it tastes great.

I frequently visit Legal Sea Foods, nearly every time I pass through Reagan airport. They have always done a great job ensuring that there is no cross contamination. They have a dedicated gluten free fryer, so it is a great place to get fish and chips.

Pricey but the fish and chips were delicious. Almost ordered the fried calamari. GF items are clearly marked on the menu. Coleslaw that came with was good too.

My daughter is celiac and extremely sensitive. They took us seriously here and my daughter had no problems. Thank you to the management for keeping people like my daughter safe.

Great food! I had the oyster po boy on lettuce (no bread offered) with French fries and slaw. Didn’t love the slaw but the fries were good. Manager brings out food announcing allergy. Didn’t get sick after! Also, everything that goes into the fryer is gluten free so no worries about cross contamination.

Years ago when fried foods actually had a place in my diet, I had visited other Legal Sea Foods locations and had an okay experience from what I can remember. As a way to close out my wonderful trip to DC, I said “hey, you haven’t had fried fish in about 2 years, why not?” Find me gluten free showed positive notes from other travelers, so I made the decision to try. I ordered the Fish & Chips that came with a side of slaw and house made tartar sauce that they say is GF. I mentioned I had celiac/an allergy and was assured they knew how to handle GF. A manager even brought out the food and confirmed it was prepared GF. I didn’t have any NIMA capsules left, but I proceeded anyway. The food tasted great!...But within an hour of finishing the meal I was keeled over in pain for the duration of my following 2 hour flight. This was without a doubt a glutening. While I don’t doubt they’ve taken great care in preparing GF fried seafood and meals on other occasions, that wasn’t the case today. I suspect that the tartar sauce or slaw is not GF. Lesson learned.
Very good gluten free breaded and fried fish and chips. Other reviewers talked about GF breads - today they said they did not have any GF breads or buns.

Excellent. Always. I had oysters, shrimp cocktail and crab dip w veggies. Nice menu. Clear options. Naturally gluten free.
Legal seafood great everywhere. Was great to get good food on Christmas Eve after arriving in va/dc. All fried food is gf! Fried shrimp and fries and shared some of the fisherman’s platter.
Yes
No gf bread of any sort here...so sandwiches are on lettuce
Yes
The meal was really good but the service was awful. Lots of gluten free options and menu clearly marked. Manager will bring the meal to insure gluten free. I didn't eat the rolls but there are gf rolls.
Such a great place to eat for a celiac! Lots of safe options, knowledgeable staff, and quality food! They have great rolls, can adjust anything, and are very considerate. Definitely the place to eat!

This legal sea foods is located behind security in Reagan national airport. It's a sit down place but they have some options as "quicker serve" options. Items that can be made gluten free are clearly marked on menu. Server said that all breaded items were gf except tempura which were cooked in a seperate fryer (if others could verify I would appreciate it!). Fries were tasty as well as crab roll with no bun. Had one gf beer on menu. Solid choice for airport.
Beyond impressed! The service is stellar. They make you feel welcome and as though it is no problem whatsoever to answer all your questions about gluten and whether there is cc. They seemed really informed about avoiding cc and could answer all our questions. Everything that goes in the fryer is gf because their batter for fried stuff is gf.
The first time we went, our meal was cutting it close to their closing time. Despite that, our server was extremely friendly in answering all our questions and the manager even came over and was very friendly, and told us about desserts he recommends, and no one rushed us. The second time, the chef even brought our food out and introduced himself and assured us that he made sure everything was allergen-free. They also have "allergy runners" that bring the food out sometimes. The second time we went, they brought us gluten free rolls on the house before the meal.
The food was delicious. They just added sushi to their menu. They have tons of fun specialty rolls they can make gf. We got the shrimp tempura roll and the only adjustment to make it gf was that they didn't put the extra tempura "flakes" on it (the shrimp itself still comes out as tempura/ fried in batter). The other ingredients (tobiko, spicy mayo, teriyaki, avo, cucumber) came on the gf version. We also ordered cioppino - there were no adjustments to it, except for bringing out gf bread to go with it instead of the non-gf bread it usually comes with. The cheesecake even had gluten free crust and felt fresh because of the seasonal fruit.
The only small thing is that the server might put your silverware directly on the table (it's not wrapped in a napkin), so you might need to ask not to. I also saw that you can order online for pickup or delivery, but I haven't tried that yet. The main menu is marked with what can be modified to be gf. This location is in Kendall Square.
