I’m very sensitive to cross-contamination and had previously eaten here many times without issue. Staff is generally very knowledgeable about which items are celiac safe, however, I did have an exposure the last time I visited bc I tried a new dessert and had a less experienced server who didn’t realize it contained gluten. It’s a lovely place with great food, just make sure you check and double check with kitchen that dessert items are celiac safe.

As written before, the staff was knowledgeable, food was great, and I loved the atmosphere! I had the pork medallions with vegetables and sampled some of my husband’s (also GF) risotto - no ill effects at all.

Excellent food, service and atmosphere. I was in New York for 2 weeks and ate there 5 times, couldn't get enough!

My most favorite restaurant ever... The food is amazing, the management is amazing and the decor is perfect. They are super careful with allergies and know their stuff. I love this place so much:)

Always accommodating. They get it. The staff is really wonderful and the food is scrumptious. My daughter is celiac -- never had an issue whatsoever. Always a nice evening!

I was sick after eating dinner and dessert. I am not confident everything was gluten free. I am not sure the restaurant management understand that sauces, ice cream, etc. can contain gluten even if one does not see a piece of bread in the food.

Previous reviews that spoke of how wonderful the food and sweet Irish waitress could not have been more on point. The food was delicious, the atmosphere delightful as was the waitress. I am very sensitive to gluten cross contamination, and Mariella's could not have been better. Even the background music playing was wonderful. I highly recommend Mariella's for those that have gluten problems as well as for any other diner!

I am a very sensitive celiac. This business has wonderful food and great service. The waitress (a sweet Irish girl if you go) was amazing and very knowledgable about gluten. It's a little pricey but so worth it! Such a sweet little Italian restaurant and the ambience is perfect.
