A good, predictable GF option in our area. They have GF chips that are sealed in a separate bag and don’t share the same fryer. Lots of GF items on the menu and they are very amenable to modifications to the menu. No cross-contamination issues in the four years since my son’s diagnosis.

Stopped here for a quick breakfast taco. My waiter and the person who delivered my breakfast both kindly assured me that it would be GF, and it was (as well as yummy and filling). Their tortilla chips, however, are not GF -- but you can request some, which will come in a plastic bag. Sadly, I found that out belatedly, because the guy who dropped off the chips nodded when I asked if they were GF. I asked my server to confirm, and he promptly grabbed the chips off the table and got me the plastic bag of obviously less yummy, but safe, GF chips. All in all, recommend. Plan to patronize this chain again when I'm back in Texas.

Food tasted great. I got glued. They were not careful, despite being told I’m strictly gluten free.

I have not had an issue here. They do a great job every time! I did order to-go recently and the gal up front said “I made sure they cooked it on a separate grill! I have to get on to them about that.” Which scares me a little bit because why wouldn’t they just do that if someone had an allergy? Anyway, I haven’t had a reaction and it is good food.

I’m rating as a 3 due to the horrible lack of service. Our waiter took forever to take our order. The person who delivered our food to the table was very nice and helpful. We ran out of water twice and had to get up and get our own refills. When eating spicy food, that’s never a good thing. I also ordered a margarita. I asked the waiter if he could make sure the margaritas were made with 100% agave, to be gluten free. He said all were GF. It took 18 minutes to get the drink and I was already finished with my meal. When we got the ticket, my drink was $12.95! More than our meals! I did not get sick, so there is a positive. This was our first experience at this location. We will just stick with the Austin location. They are more competent at that location.

Excellent gluten free options. The menu is well marked and the staff is well educated. The sweet potato hash was amazing.

It was busy, but the waitress noted my allergy and made sure my meal turned out GF. The queso and chips are GF (you can ask for chips that are bagged & not cross-contaminated in the shared oil). The menu is VERY thorough and clear about what is GF and what can be modified to be GF- it’s most items.

Staff very knowledgeable. Asked about gluten intolerance, no attitude. Grilled shrimp tacos were delicious and no issues after. GF chips in a separate bag from regular.

Always accommodating and knowledgeable and after eating here for 14 years, I have never gotten sick! I love Maudie’s.

They have a lot of dishes that can be modified to be gluten free. They brought me separate gluten free chips that I was able to enjoy.

First time visit was awesome! Biggest gluten free menu I've ever seen. Chicken quesadillas were delicious! Who gets to do quesadillas anymore?! You can eat it here gluten free!

I want to love Maudie's, but I always leave disappointed. I applaud their gluten free efforts and their many options, I am just not a fan of their flavors.
The Bee Caves is great they give you the gf bag of chips and have a separate gf kitchen.
Tons of options on the menu - tell the staff you are GF and they will bring you separate bagged chips and salsa. corn tortillas are steamed separately and other precautions are taken. A great celiac safe choice in Austin!

Maudie’s had patient servers, and could make almost anything on the menu gluten free! Our server was knowledgeable and chill, got us our own unopened bag of gluten free chips, and answered any questions we had. I order the Strait Plate gluten free, three loaded beef enchiladas with fried eggs on top. My partner got grilled shrimp fajitas and black beans. They even have a couple of gluten free deserts to choose from and in house ice cream <3
100% recommend!!! We’ll be back.

Great casual Tex mex spot. My kiddo was really excited to have beef fajitas— they are marinated in soy, but the soy is GF. :)
