Ordered the GF crust with emphasis that it not be in contact with any shared surfaces. Was average quality (so I knew it was the GF crust) but had minor symptoms after eating. Not a full blown glutening, but enough to know that there was likely some contamination.

They prep the gluten free pizza in a separate area
They are now using the corporate pizza dough and it is DISGUSTING ! The local vender they use to have is no longer in business to offer them their gluten free pizza dough which was awesome!!!!!! Corporate needs to go back in the kitchen lab and work on a better gluten free dough.

I am very sad to report that this restaurant is unsafe. For almost a year now, this location has been my go to for gluten-free pizza. However, I am sad to report that last night I was made very sick by this restaurant. I called in a takeout order for a gluten-free Kosmic Karma pizza with extra cheese and bacon, just as I usually do. I also stressed and repeated in my call that this was a gluten allergy and not a preference and to make the kitchen aware of this fact. However, here I am woefully sick after eating this pizza. Not only that when I called to make the restaurant aware of what happened I didn’t even get an apology. I saw no signs that they even cared in the slightest that they had made me sick.

We have eaten here with our celiac daughter for several years. One of the few restaurants we trust.
No
Dedicated oven and prep areas for their GF pizzas. It’s always been a winner for us.
Yes
Unfortunately, as a Celiac, I cannot recommend this specific Mellow. First time I ate here, I was sick before leaving the restaurant. Second time around, sick halfway home.
Both times, I specified that I had Celiac, and asked if it would be prepped and cooked safely. I was assured it would be. My digestive tract says otherwise.
The Raleigh MM, however, I've had zero issue with (to date).
No
The best Celiac-safe pizza out there, but a bit pricey. Not too bad if you split a pepperoni with a friend though! I eat it regularly and have never gotten sick. They train their staff for Celiac.
Yes
GF menu, told server of celiac, confirmed separate cooking area. Ordered meat pizza with all the crisp edges and pepperoni grease pools. So delicious. No reaction.

Great gluten free pizza
Love 'em! Consistent quality GF pizza that never makes me sick, and when a server recently waved a wheat pizza over mine, they re-made my GF pizza without a single complaint. New sauces are intesting and different, and they just got Crispin cider on tap - yay!
Yes
Best gf pizza you can get, but I agree with Katie that it is quite expensive for the size. I'm the only one of the family who can eat gluten so I get pretzels to help keep the total bill down.
i've always been a fan of their pizza and the GF one is good. i think they also have GF beer. however, be warned- the 12" GF pizza is $18, at least in Durham. i don't think it used to be that pricey and the GF pizza at other places like Brixx and Lilly's is cheaper, i think. mellow mushroom is safe and good quality but be prepared to spend a lot.
If you let the greeter and/or server know you have celiac, your table should be wiped down and your food will come on distinct plates. They're done a good job training their folks, it seems.
The pizza crust is really good, though it's a shame it doesn't come in more than one size.
Great pizza. Great service. The host even wiped down our table and brought out special gf safe plates. I've never gotten sick here, and I am super sensitive.
Their pizza is certified GF and they use a separate oven. The pizza is always delicious and I eat here every month. I always have the mushroom pizza.

The waitress said they prepare the pizza separately but it's cooked in the same oven. She then proceeds to bring out my gf pizza sitting between my family's regular pizza. Not only that, it took nearly 1 hour (54 minutes to be exact) to get this food out on a Tuesday afternoon. There was maybe 6 tables total in the restaurant.
I didn't eat. Can't trust a pizza she piled regular pizza on top of

Excellent! No issues with mighty meaty pizza. I order through UberEats, but call store to verify. Always good! I also get no cheese (dairy free. Gluten free).

A chain that always takes proper precautions. Several pizzas are certified gluten free. Quick service too.
