My server was very knowledgeable about what options were most celiac safe. She recommended the fajitas to me because they are made in their own pan. The meal normally comes with Mexican rice but they will sub white rice for it if you let them know you have a gluten allergy/celiac. I asked about the corn tortillas and the server said she would make a note to request that they aren’t heated on any shared surfaces. The food was great!

They have quite a few gf options, but from my experience here, ordering fajitas is your best bet. I have felt not so great in the past when I tried their enchiladas.

We asked about the gluten free menu and our wonderful server Ana knew everything about celiac and cross contamination! My son was able to confidently order something in a restaurant without anxiety and the dish was delicious! He had no reaction at all. He ordered carnitas and end everything was prepared separately.

Chips at this location are not gluten free! The only Miguel’s with gluten free chips is the location in Old Town! (Server at old town restaurant warned me)

I am very sensitive the gluten and can easily get flake ups. This is the first time ever that I went out to eat with 0 reacting. No bloating and no puffiness. I had their fajita and chips/salsa.

Beware! I’ve gone there for years and have had their fajitas with corn tortillas which they assured me were safe. I’ve asked every time! But this time the manager said they heat the corn tortillas on the same grill area as the flour tortillas which makes them very unsafe. I’m so disappointed that NO ONE has every told me this before after all these years of painstaking questioning. I feel I can’t really trust any restaurant ☹

Our waitress was knowledgeable about gluten free options and brought us a gluten free menu. For kids, the gluten-free options are limited especially since there is no dedicated fryer.

We read above you can have the white cheese sauce and our server let us know the cheese sauce has flour and chicken bouillon, which are not gluten-free.

Wheat-Free menu upon request. Fish tacos and vegetable enchiladas were delicious. Many items on the wheat-free menu to choose from with a great variety.

After speaking to the waitress for a very long time about our gluten free needs, she said she completely understood and our meal would be very safe. My daughter's gluten free cheese quesadillas came out and I verified it was on corn tortillas. They were not--they were flour tortillas. The server took them back and said she forgot to write it down. She said the rice and beans were gf but she forgot to specify corn tortillas for our gluten free meal. Additionally, the chips were not safe and, after telling us they weren't safe, the waitstaff continued to try to give them to us three times. Would not recommend eating here.

Excellent GF w knowledgeable staff. Just don’t eat the cheese sauce. Great GF menu and tacos are awesome!

Nice selection of gf meals. The cheese sauce that comes with your chips/salsa does have gluten so don't eat that. Everything else you can figure out from the gf menu and the servers are quick to help. The food is great!

Be sure to communicate with your server about your gluten free diet. My server was very knowledgeable about which items were gluten free and was cognizant to make note for the chef to be careful about cross-contamination. The kitchen is very serious about preventing cross-contamination. Please be aware that it is a shared fryer situation here- the complimentary chips and cheese dip are NOT gluten free. My server stated that the cheese dip uses flour, which is a shame because it is honestly one of the best cheese dips out there taste-wise.

Called ahead of time to confirm chips were not in a dedicated fryer. Manager was very knowledgeable and told me exactly how to modify the items I was looking at to be safe for me to eat. Great experience!

The server knew what he was talking about when I mentioned celiac and told me not to eat the chips. Thankfully I already knew that from this app considering he told me 10 mins after the chips were out, but still appreciated the effort. I ordered the ahi tuna taco plate that came out with white rice and black beans as well as corn tortillas and was brought out after the rest of the tables plates, which could be a good thing or just coincidence. I’ve seen the mixed reviews but so far so good and will give updates after the food settles in.

UPDATE: feeling fine (which the margarita could have helped) so A+ to them

Waiter seemed to be knowledgeable but I asked very pointed questions based on reviews. I only had two options fajitas or fish tacos. I did fish tacos, he said swordfish is the only option with black beans and white rice. I ate one taco and felt sick within 10 minutes. Would not go ever again. They have items marked GF all over the menu that are not actually GF
