I ordered my 'usual' from the GF menu and explained I was also dairy free. I ordered the sweet potato without honey butter, cinnamon and sugar - ie completely dry. Our server seemed completely disinterested. There were 2 large parties dining so we had to wait a long time for our food. When the food finally arrived my sweet potato had traces of sugar - I suspect sugar had been added and scraped off. I hope the same had not happened with the honey butter - I do not know what honey butter tastes like because I have never been able to eat it. I did not complain - after the long wait I just wanted to eat and go home.
I have eaten at many Outbacks with no problem - if this had been my first visit I would be reluctant to visit again.

I go here often and order off the GF menu. Never have a problem and the servers are always willing to go ask questions in the kitchen.
I got sick despite their claim to have GF. They have a lot of options but they are still not GF because of cross contamination. This would be an okay place if I was on a GF diet for preference but not for allergies.
No
They have a GF menu but they do nothing to train their staff in the kitchen or out front. I get sick here. However other locations do educate the staff.I wish the company would do a better job across the board.
Extensive gluten free menu, but poorly trained staff. I have tried to eat here several times, each time thinking that maybe the last time was just bad luck, but I end up sick every time. Too bad - the company itself has made a great effort to provide a menu for us celiacs, to the point of making their fabulous signature dessert gluten free. I only wish that the staff understood the importance of avoiding cross-contamination.
They were great about watching for cross contamination and brought my plate out separately from my family's. They didn't really have many menu options that weren't steak, but I ordered the grilled chicken, mashed potatoes, and side Ceasar salad. The food was really bland, and the mashed potatoes were worse than school lunches in the 80s. They were flavorless, almost translucent, and disappointing. The chicken was decent but not my favorite. I had better food at another steakhouse chain.

Outback as a chain has always been safe for me. I order the grilled chicken on the barbie with double veggies and have never had a reaction, including at this location!

I ate here twice while I was in town. They note the GF allergy for the kitchen and when they bring it to the table the server knew it was designated GF

The staff were not too familiar but answered my questions and helped me order a safe dish.
