I have always enjoyed Outback Steakhouse and when I was first diagnosed 20 years ago, Outback was one of the first restaurants that I knew of, to offer a gluten-free menu. AND, they offer a gluten free dessert. But my latest visit was disappointing. Not from a celiac standpoint, but from a overall taste experience. The steak was way over-seasoned and was very fatty.

Had a Cobb salad off GF menu. Spoke with the manager to confirm precautions in the kitchen, although they did not have a dedicated allergy station. Food was good and no reaction.

The server seemed very knowledgeable about celiac disease and gave me a gluten free menu. The food was excellent. Either the food was not gluten free or there was cross contamination; I was very sick later. 😕.

Great service and no issues about ordering special for allergens. I'll definitely be returning while I am in town.
They were great about watching for cross contamination and brought my plate out separately from my family's. They didn't really have many menu options that weren't steak, but I ordered the grilled chicken, mashed potatoes, and side Ceasar salad. The food was really bland, and the mashed potatoes were worse than school lunches in the 80s. They were flavorless, almost translucent, and disappointing. The chicken was decent but not my favorite. I had better food at another steakhouse chain.

Outback as a chain has always been safe for me. I order the grilled chicken on the barbie with double veggies and have never had a reaction, including at this location!

I ate here twice while I was in town. They note the GF allergy for the kitchen and when they bring it to the table the server knew it was designated GF
