This used to be a favorite of ours. Since they began dipping the ‘baked’ potatoes into the fryer before rolling them in salt to finish in the oven, it is a no go!! Bad seed oils abound. Alice Springs Chicken was a favorite. It is literally half the size it was. Browned ends of broccoli three times in a row, prompted this review. Oh! And those Brussels sprouts? Deep fried!! No nutrition whatsoever.

My family came here to have lunch while in Sioux City running errands. I notified our waitress of my dietary restrictions due to my Celiac Disease when ordering. When my salad came out it was covered in crouton dust (like croutons were on the salad but just picked off). I sent the salad back and it was remade properly. My husband and I split the ribeye and grilled shrimp plate. Upon receiving the plate the shrimp were served on a slice of rye bread. We sent that plate back as well. It was returned within 2 minutes having just removed the bread from the plate. At this time we involved the manager. A new steak and new shrimp were prepared. The food was very delicious but it was apparent that the kitchen either were not properly trained in cross contamination or did not care. The manager bought our appetizer and our plate for our inconvenience. I did not get sick from the experience but I would advise to be careful when eating here with Celiac. Definitely get the manager involved from the beginning would be recommended.

Great selection of gluten-free items (they'll give you a menu upon request) food is great!
Great GF menu. I can enjoy a meal with family and friends without feels weird. Good food.
Outback is very g/f friendly. Great food, even a hot brownie offering on the dessert menu. : )
They were great about watching for cross contamination and brought my plate out separately from my family's. They didn't really have many menu options that weren't steak, but I ordered the grilled chicken, mashed potatoes, and side Ceasar salad. The food was really bland, and the mashed potatoes were worse than school lunches in the 80s. They were flavorless, almost translucent, and disappointing. The chicken was decent but not my favorite. I had better food at another steakhouse chain.

Outback as a chain has always been safe for me. I order the grilled chicken on the barbie with double veggies and have never had a reaction, including at this location!

I ate here twice while I was in town. They note the GF allergy for the kitchen and when they bring it to the table the server knew it was designated GF

The staff were not too familiar but answered my questions and helped me order a safe dish.
