Since their entire concept is indigenous and decolonized foods, that means no dairy, no refined sugar, and NO WHEAT!!! I could try anything I wanted, and everything I did try was great! Well, the berry parfait was not a texture I hugely enjoy (full berries, and grainy nut-“milk”). But we got the game sausage with dandelion pesto, grilled cornbread with berry jam, pulled turkey open-faced sandwich with squash slaw, and the awesome bison potroast with root vegetables! And my husband loved his chocolate cake from wild rice flour with agave caramel. They do have a beer and wine license (examples from Mexico were good), but there are tons of mocktails and herbal teas, as well. We even tried the crickets with mustard seeds and pepitos, which tested my resolve but turned out to be just crunchy. Gorgeous view of Mill Rions Park and the Mississippi. We had so much fun, we’re telling everyone we know, and I can’t wait to go back!
