Pizzeria Omaggio

This was my second time visiting. The first visit I did not ask enough questions and ended up with a swollen stomach for 3 days. This visit I asked about how the GF pizza was prepared. I was told that they change glove and use a different cutter, but…all pizzas are cooked on the same surface. They don’t use a pan to cook any pizzas. I do not recommend the pizza to anyone with celiac. They do however have a few other GF options that I felt safe with like a salad.

Awesome pizza! I ordered a pizza with gluten free crust, olive oil and no tomato sauce. I also had the goat cheese (instead of mozzarella), pepperoni, onions, mushrooms, olives, and anchovies. The pizza was light and fresh. Since prep happens in a shared kitchen, I took a GlutenEase before lunch. I hope this helps with any potential reactions. Overall, I enjoyed my first visit and will be back!

I do not recommend! They were very rude when I asked about how they handled their gluten free items and thought that the pizza being in a 550 degree oven would get rid of any cross contamination. They obviously do not understand allergies and I would not trust them to take care with cross contamination.
