The waiter was rather rude, asked about the milkshakes which he knew straight away were not gf (which is great) however when asking about other safe cold drink options for my son got a sarcastic look and “i don’t know, i’m not a doctor” comment to all questions. Was planning on going for lunch there later on but after the experience will give it a miss. Shame as the reviews seem positive, and obviously our negative experience was solely down to one staff member but it was such a negative one won’t be going back.
They did a nice job. They had a GF bun. Knew what I was talking about. Dinner was good.
Cute place but I wouldn't call it celiac safe. I asked about the fries and they're made in the same fryer as breaded foods. The root beer float couldn't even be guaranteed safe, according to staff. I just let my boyfriend eat here (he isn't celiac) while I sat and drank water. Good review is because he LOVED his chili and hamburger, the view is great, and the waiter, Noah, was very friendly and courteous. He told me there were gf buns but I didn't take the chance because I'm 6 months pregnant.

Great GF spot! They have gluten free hamburger buns which were pretty tasty. Cajun fries were better than the regular fries- although not sure about the fryer situation
Waitress was knowledgeable and helpful. I stuck with the lettuce wrapped avocado burger & it was fresh and delicious. Did not try fries as I'm leery of any fried food. Good experience!
Yes
Food (and the Heath bar shake) are excellent!
good food great prices very busy and restaurant rocks a little withe the pier. this one makes kids and parents GF and non all smile.
I was told to avoid the fries by the staff because they said flour gets all over them in the kitchen (their words). I was super bummed because that was one of the reasons we picked to eat there with the kids. The burger and chicken we had was great and the GF buns they offer were super fresh. we will try the Carlsbad location next time.
We used to LOVE their GF chicken fingers and fries as a family that rarely gets food like that. They took the GF chicken fingers off the menu.
GF buns still available.
Fries are GF in a fryer that is ONLY used for the GF fries.
— Excellent
Im being generous with my star rating because there are not a lot of options for us, meal-wise, at the airport. Ruby’s (though not marked on menu) has gluten free hamburger buns so you can get a burger or sandwich, or substitute for toast with your breakfast. They also offered to give me fruit instead of toast with my eggs which I appreciated.
— No gluten-free information on the menu
Though my server answered all of my questions and suggested options as the fries are not made in a separate fryer, I got sick immediately after eating here from cross contamination.

They’re not knowledgeable about celiac. The waitress said “My daughter used to have celiac and would get bad hives. But she outgrew it”. When asked if the chili was gluten free, she said “No because it has beef and beans”. She clearly did not know what she was talking about
Ended up playing it safe with the chicken Caesar salad which was surprisingly good.
