Good food, friendly staff. Their gluten free menu is limited but good quality food. They know which BBQ sauce are and are not gluten free. The cinnamon apples are to die for. Cole slaw is good and homemade.
So far they have taken care of me. My go to meals are pulled pork or ribs with a baked potato. I always advice that I have a gluten allergy and to ask the chef to take extra care to change his gloves while preparing my food and so far I’ve eaten here probably 5+ times without an issue. Your mileage may vary at other locations. I have celiac disease and have been okay so far.
One of the reasons we came here was because of their gluten-free menu. I have celiac disease which allows strictly no gluten in my diet. There were quite a few options for me to order from. However, when my food came there was a piece of garlic bread on my plate touching the ribs that I had ordered. I had to cut that piece off of the rack. The food was good but I question their knowledge of gluten allergies and the lack of caution while preparing my food.

Food quality has gone way down hill. Do my recommend.
Traveling through on Vacatiou. Had to backtrack to get there. Well the effort . At other rib joints I have been frustrated by not being able to have the bbq Sause! Not so at Smokey Bones My wife doesn't have Celiac so she had the onion rings . Some of the best she has ever had. We will be stopping there again on our way through!

They have a separate "menu" of sorts that explain what items on their actual menu are gluten free or could be made gluten free. Waitress was helpful and accommodating. Also had angry orchard available for purchase.

Don’t eat here if you are a Coeliac!! Friends choose restaurant for me as the Menu has lots of GF symbols. I talked to waitress and she explained that it means Gluten Friendly - the GF salad came with croutons, the GF fries cooked in Same fryer as all Breaded products. Avoid !

Items marked GF aren’t truly GF. Fries and chips are in the fryer with other items, but marked GF. Found out after I ate and have been really sick for days.

I was craving ribs so we stopped by Smokey Bones last night. The server was knowledgeable about Celiac and the menu was clearly marked. The sides are limited because the fryers have cross contamination but all the meats and most the sauces are gf. The Titos strawberry lemonade was also very good. Will go back to try other things on the menu.
