Tatte's menu is well labeled and they have a lot of gluten free options, but everything is displayed together so this establishment is not safe for those who are sensitive to cross contamination.

Avoid this place at all costs. The cashiers don’t understand or care about food allergies.

I didn't get violently sick but deff had some stomach issues after eating a sandwich here. My coffee was marked allergy but no indication of it on my sandwich. Probably wouldn't eat here again, but I'm also extremely sensitive

I got a breakfast sandwich and didn’t get sick at all! It’s so rare to eat out and have no issues, especially while traveling. Beautiful menu, amazing choices, beautiful space. I wish there was a place like this in my home town.

Celiac- ordered breakfast sandwich. Disappointed. I'll take some responsibility for not asking enough questions. Came out white bread without any cheese.

I had a delicious chicken salad sandwich and a matcha latte. The cashier marked my order as a gluten allergy and when I got my sandwich - it was clearly marked as a gluten free sandwich with a gluten allergy.

Had a delicious sandwich from their “gluten-friendly” menu. Because they bake non-gluten-free items in the building, they do not mark their menu gluten-free. The turkey avocado sandwich was on gluten-free bread with turkey, avocado, alfalfa sprouts, cucumbers, and green herbs dressing that you can ask for on the side. It was refreshing and delicious. Also ordered a gluten-free brownie that I haven’t tried yet. Staff was knowledgeable and careful about marking my order, as was the chef who prepared it. I would feel very comfortable returning here.

Great place; for brunch. Very busy, and a little noisy, but they have a great GF menu, and the line moves fast. I had the GF spinach, mushroom, and potato shake hula and it came with GF bread. Recommend checking the GF menu out online before going.

Tatte was DELICIOUS! They had a separate Gluten "Friendly" menu at the register - you have to ask for it as it is hard to find among the normal menus. There is also a Gluten friendly menu online. They had some baked items clearly marked as Gluten Friendly. This facility does state gluten free but stresses Friendly. This is a bakery so there is the potential for cross contamination. I am pretty strict on this, but I wanted to try it anyway. I ordered the Roasted Strawberry tea cake Gf and it was delicious. I also had the pumpkin seed tea cake GF and it was ok - but wouldn't order it again. I also ordered the GF Avocado Breakfast Sandwich on GF bread. When it arrived the server specified the GF item and it was clearly marked GF on the ticket.
I had no issues after eating here - in fact we went back again while we were in town.

Gluten friendly listed on the menu. Staff input allergic to gluten on ordering and reassure no gluten when serving. I had the muesli with yogurt. Very good.

I had a wonderful experience here yesterday with bakery items. Staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. I liked it so much. I brought my husband back today for breakfast. He enjoyed his regular food while I enjoyed my gluten-free food. It was so good I had to get some bakery items to go.

I came here twice in one day and a total of 4 times in my short DC trip. They have so many GF dessert options and can make their breakfast sandwiches on GF bread. I got their classic breakfast sandwich and it was so good! I also tried their tea cakes, strawberry and pistachio. Both were lovely! I wasn’t a fan of the chocolate muffin. It tastes like it had raisins or apples in it, something about it didn’t work for me. I didn’t eat it all. I got the chocolate mousse cake. AMAZING!! I had such a hard time deciding because everything looked incredible. There were 6-7 GF options for dessert alone, almost half the case was GF! I will say that some of the GF items were stacked on the same display plates as non-GF items, I chose not to get those items because they were clearly cross contaminated. But I only saw one GF item like that. I have a pretty significant gluten intolerance and had no reaction eating here. I will 100% always come back when in DC. Plus their coffee is really great too. 10/10!

They have gluten free items in the same display case as items that contain gluten. Sometimes they’re even touching. Cross contamination is a huge issue and they don’t understand the basics at all.
