This restaurant is an “experience”. Built in late 1700’s. It is a beautiful old mansion. The food was good. No GF menu, but waitstaff is helpful in the GF dishes. I had lunch Shrimp and Grits with a salad. Both were good. I have uploaded a photo of the lunch menu. They have 2 GF desserts. A chocolate tort and praline dish.

They did make a mistake and they served me the wrong meal, but they quickly corrected it with a proper gf options within moments and showed me the utmost kindness.

Oh man, what a letdown. Yes they have a gluten-free menu but it’s nothing special. It’s fish and mashed potatoes, steak and mashed potatoes, scallops and mashed potatoes… three appetizers, one being oysters and one being shrimp cocktail. But beyond that the service was incredibly slow. The food was cold and our champagne bottle was delivered warm. I’m still a little salty about how much we spent for a very mediocre meal. A friend told me it’s considered a tourist trap and I wish I’d known that before hand.

Our waiter asked us first if we had any dietary restrictions and I mentioned I have a “severe wheat allergy”. (My dietician recommended this at restaurants instead of saying “celiac”.) He went and brought back their separate gluten-free menu! Food was delicious as always and the service was fantastic.

there IS a gluten free menu. I had the Filet with the mashed potatoes and asparagus. It was absolutely delicious! I don’t usually like steak but it was SOOO good. My dad who doesn’t have any issues also loved it (and the bread they served looked delicious ). The staff were very friendly and helpful. The waiter double checked the sauce that came (without me asking) on the side and took it away when he realized it wasnt gluten free. Going again tomorrow. Did not have any reaction to yesterdays food.

Very disappointed. Had heard great things about the establishment. Called ahead and they stated they had a separate gluten free menu. When we arrived, we were told that there was no gluten free menu. The server recited only a few options. I ordered the nachos but they turned out to be six soggy pre-portioned “chips”. The portions were extremely small for the price. The flavor of the nachos was delicious and I did not get sick, but overall I expected more.

Outstanding! The food, the staff, the ambience! Hands down, one of the best dinner experiences we’ve had! We ate dinner in the Tavern and we were blown away by the food. We had the she crab soup which was really good and the days special which was grouper stuffed with crab cake over mashed potatoes. VERY disappointed! Had heard great things. Made a reservation months in advance, for when family would be in town. 4 of us dined. 1 Eating gluten, 3 not. All 3 GF meals came out and tested “Gluten Found”. After the 3rd strike we opted to just eat elsewhere. Manager was apologetic. Wouldn’t go again. Not only was everything unsafe but the presentation wasn’t at all what I’d expected. Nothing looked spectacular that night.

The Olde Pink House is the quintessential lovely and delicious Savannah restaurant that should be on everyone’s list - local and tourist. The GF menu is extensive and the waitstaff are very knowledgeable about what you can have if you have celiac or if you’re ok w cross contamination.

Told our waiter ahead of time we were gluten free. Ordered the cheese board off the gf menu which came out with fried grits that were not gluten free- it was sent back and we were brought a different board that was okay to eat. Two of us who were gluten free ordered the filet mignon off the gf menu. While waiting for the food the manager for the night came over to check in I reiterated we were gluten free. Then a few minutes later they came over and told us our steak was being remade because it had the glaze which was not gf on it. We finally got our steak and sides but not the mashed potatoes we asked for. They apologized and comped us for a of the few items we ordered with all the trouble. Did not get sick and food was good overall. If you’re going to go stress the importance of gluten free and double check food with waiter as well.

Been here twice and first time, food was good and had no issues. This time however, I ordered from the GF menu and let my server know I had celiac. She seemed to understand as she started talking about her daughter with food allergies, so I thought I’d be good. I was so sick the entire night and next day. I got the scallops and the only thing I can think of is cross contamination or the cream sauce had flour. I mean, I took 4 Gliadin X enzymes and was still terribly ill. Very disappointed. This is my second time eating there (1st time was back in 2015) and an excellent place to eat if you are celiac. They offer a gluten-free menu and the staff is very knowledgeable, the waiter even asked if I was by choice gluten-free are did I have a celiac. After he found out I was celiac he made sure nothing was accidentally contaminated. He even gave me some vegetables in place of rolls. Also, the food is GREAT!

Wow! What an amazing dinner. There are plenty of options on their separate gluten free menu. I had the scallops with mashed potatoes and green beans and they were delicious. The scallops were super velvety. They also had a few gluten free desserts. I had the chocolate torte and vanilla bean ice cream. All of my family had non-GF meals and said it was the best meal they had in Savannah. Amazing biscuits served at the beginning, unfortunately, not GF

Delicious! They have a separate gluten free menu and you can change the sides that comes with the meal. I had the scallops, asparagus, and sweet potato, so good! Then I had a chocolate cake for dessert! My family loved the non gf meals as well.

Amazing experience at this beautiful old home. Separate gf menu. Everything is custom made so can swap sides too. Had the pork tenderloin and flounder. Flounder portion was huge! The recommended praline cup with ice cream was so good too. GF diners receive crudités instead of bread.

We had a fabulous meal. The GF menu is small but it is really good. I had blackened oysters ,wedge salad, seared scallops and an amazing GF dessert—praline shell filled with ice cream, fresh fruit and whipped cream! The house is beautiful with 12 dining rooms and service was superb. So friendly too. Pricey.

GF menu with great options. I Thoroughly enjoyed the shrimp and cheddar grits and praline specialty dessert. Also offered an Atlanta, GA cider which was much better than most local ciders. We did eat in their tavern- loved it all!

Excellent meal. Crudités provided before meal. Seared scallops and 3 bean medley. Good GF options. Staff very attentive to GF needs. Would definitely go back again.

They have a very large GF menu. My kids were able to order apps, entrees, and dessert. They even brought out crudités for them instead of the bread basket.

Had the GF shrimp and grits which were fantastic! Also had the GF praline ice cream desert which was also terrific. Cocktail drinks were strong and tasty. A little pricey though. You can also tour the 16,000 sq ft home for free.

Dinner menu is great but lunch does not have gluten free options. They are only able to accommodate so much as most dishes have some fried/bread component.

The single star is for the experience. We were there for two and a half hours, and it costed us $120. We were first told our wait would be 45 minutes, then we were brought downstairs were I wait would 25 minutes. After a few minutes we were told a table was available upstairs if we’d like it. We tried to follow the hostess up the status, but she disappeared, so we went back downstairs. A few minutes later a manger came up to us and offered the same table upstairs. Assuming we were a few minutes from being sat downstairs, we decided to wait. 50 minutes later we were finally sat. We declared our GF intentions with our waitress immediately. She had us order off of the main menu, and told us she would confirm with the kitchen. Several minutes later she came back to tell my girlfriend her meal could not be made GF, then handed her a GF menu to order off of. Were was this menu from the beginning? We finally had an order in, and we’re on our way to being served. Many minutes later our food was delivered. We were almost a bite into our meals when the manager came to our table to inform us there was gluten in my girlfriend’s meal. Close one. They took both plates for a redo. A few minutes later the manager came back to our table to apologize. As it turned out there was gluten in both of our dishes. WTF? They remade both meal, and assured us they were both GF. I can’t be sure they were. They offered no discount, so we paid full price for one of the most horrible experiences I’ve ever had at a restaurant. Please consider eating somewhere else.

Great experience, very accommodating! Did not get sick. Felt safe. They know what they're doing here. Great gourmet food and service. Unforgettable experience in the Tavern which is a piano bar in the basement. Every bite from appetizer to dessert was delicious.

Such a great place! They brought me a special plate of veggies and dip when they brought the other person’s bread to include me, nice touch. Food and service was great! Special attention was made to my food allergy. Best part was the GF dessert, a praline basket baked fresh there with berries and ice cream. Yum! Yum! They even wrote Happy Anniversary in chocolate on it. It was the best!

My husband and I always eat here when visiting Savannah. I have Celiac and Salicylate Sensitivity. The servers are extremely helpful, and knowledgeable about GF and CC. We always eat in the Tavern because of the atmosphere, plus I don’t feel as if I have to dress up. They do have a GF menu, and easily accommodate any other allergies you may have. We had another great meal here last night! Thanks for the great food and service.

Absolutely perfect! The safe AND delicious food (Red Snapper w Lump Crab meat...yum), very attentive staff, just an extraordinary dining experience. Topped off by their pineapple sorbet...a great experience all around. Make reservations or get comfortable for a long wait.

Went tonight to the Olde Pink House for dinner. they do have a separate gluten free menu with much to choose from and the food was delicious. Brian, our server, was great and knowledgeable. If I ever make it back to Savannah I will go back.

The food and service were fine. However I was disappointed to find out they have elimated there GF menu. Now the waiter lets you know which items can be modified. The waiter we had was ok, at letting me know. But the way he descibed it made me nervous. I got the scallops because that was what he described as GF the best.

I had high expectations of this place and made it very clear that I have Celiac Disease and cannot eat any gluten. I ordered a simple Grilled Chicken Caesar Salad with no croutons. They brought it out to me and I took a bite and noticed croutons in the salad. I alerted the waiter to replace my salad and they were apologetic. They brought me a second salad with no croutons but as I was eating, I noticed a huge black bug crawling on some lettuce in my salad. I was disgusted and alerted the waiter. He took my salad away and apologized. By that time, the two other people I was eating with were done with their dinner. I had to ASK them for a THIRD salad which they assumed I didn't want another. They bring the THIRD salad and I was so disgusted that I did not bother to eat it. They shortened our bill due to me only having two bites of dinner. On top of that, the waitress serving the table next to us kept rolling her eyes at my table and flashing us dirty looks thinking we were lying and making a big deal when we were as calm as could be trying to correct the salad and handle the situation. I am absolutely appalled and taken aback by the nasty waitress. She is lucky they took her out of the room to "counsel" her because I wanted to ask her why she felt the need to flash my table dirty looks when I obviously have Celiac Disease and cannot eat gluten. I don't want to eat a huge black bug either! No telling what kind of poisoning that would have done!! They also don't have a gluten free menu as "guess" off the top of their head whether an item has gluten or not. There is no guessing with Celiac Disease. It's not a joke and restaurants need to educate their staff about food allergies and diseases for crying out loud!

GF menu, knowledgeable staff The bartender fixed a slightly different drink for me, instead of the Pink Lady, so he certain that it was all gf. Had the scallops the first time and the burger the second. We subbed a different side for the fries just to be safe. It was all delicious and I had no problems later.
