My wife got sick after ordering sushi for celiac. Submitted a complaint and regional manager is going out to ensure food is handled celiac friendly. Long way to ensuring I can still eat at this great local place.

Went in about a week ago. First time eating here so checked with my waiter and she ensured me they have different area for preparing GF sushi. Ordered a couple rolls off the GF menu. After meal started to feel bloated and some stomach pain. Pretty sure I got glutened. Double check with the store if you do come here but advise not too. Not worth the risk in my opinion. Not coming here again.

(Note: I’m not sensitive to cross contamination and I cannot speak to whether they’re safe for someone who is or not)
I must have eaten here like 20 times over the past few years. Never had a problem. They mark their stuff and you can tell visibly if it is gf most of the time (they use pink tofu paper instead of seaweed for gf rolls). Doordashed from them tonight and ordered the same thing as always (gf trump roll). Noticed it was caked in tempura crumbs which it has never ever been in the past. I had already eaten several bites of a neighboring roll (spicy tuna) which seemed normal, but now I’m wondering if they messed up twice and used the non gf filling.
Contacted them directly. Their first response was that it had no gluten because they ‘just used oil’. We spoke to someone in the kitchen who confirmed and said it definitely had gluten and they were sorry. I understand mistakes happen, but I’ll never feel safe eating at a previously favored restaurant I felt comfortable with. Asked them to talk to their chefs and review the importance of allergen management. Sad to say I won’t be eating here again. If you choose to, make sure you’re triple checking I guess. Wish me luck.

GF menu and food did not make sick but the hostess and server seemed annoyed and the hostess tried to throw in Gluten soy sauce with a Togo order
Turns out the Nigiri Platter, which is always prepared gf, costs $4 extra if you order from the gf menu. No kidding. Also had a missing item from our take out order. Called to complain and they did refund the missing item and the extra $4.

GF Menu Fail!!! got the GF Menu, GF soy sauce, BUT reacted immediately with itchy cheeks and a vomitting histamine reaction... turns out, kitchen put some type of garnish on my sushi that had been marinated in regular soy sauce. manager was trying to blame me!
No
The GF options were clearly marked, although there were very few. I did enjoy my meal and didn't get sick. I would recommend this place for a (basic GF) sushi bite, although it is rather noisy and ask of the fancy rolls are not GF.
Yes
