I was glutened - staff did not know enough about coeliac or preventing cross contamination, even though I tried to explain my requirements to them at the start of my meal. Getting an even vaguely gluten free meal was hard work.
I nearly ordered the Australian style pancakes, marked as “gluten friendly” (whatever that means), when I realised it used oat creme fraiche. After asking the waiter to check with the chef, they confirmed this was not GF. Not sure why they even bother marking it as GF on the menu.
I then ordered the ‘boulder breakfast’, but asked for the corn fritters and halloumi to be included on the side too. My meal arrived, and a different waiter came over to ask me more about why I couldn’t eat gluten. After I explained again that I’m coeliac, he told me the corn fritters and the halloumi are not GF, and then replaced these with bacon and poached eggs.
I then finally ate my meal and felt sick shortly after. Clearly there were traces of gluten in the ‘boulder breakfast’ that hadn’t been accounted for.
Clearly not the place to go if you want safely prepared pancakes. I will not be returning.

Great experience here. Open kitchen so they can’t 100% guarantee anything however the waiter reassured me that the precautions are taken.

I’ve only recently been diagnosed with celiac and have been pretty scared of eating out since finding out. You can get every dish with their wheat/dairy free batter which was delicious, and the majority of their toppings are also GF. A good first experience!

There is 3 in 1 batter which are gluten free, dairy free and vegan. Many sweet and savoury options to order. All of the menu is adaptable to suit. Not suitable for coeliacs but suitable for DF & GF people like me. Very tasty pancakes.

We were so excited to find a gluten free breakfast spot in our vacation neighborhood. If you are looking for a delicious brunch any time of day in a laid back atmosphere, this is the spot! Staff was knowledgeable, let us know that the restaurant was not safe for very sensitive or celiac people. We really enjoyed all the meals we ordered, and my son even licked his plate clean. There are lots of sweet and savory choices and nearly everything can be made gf. If you are near the Shard or just hungry for pancakes, stop in!

Wife got glutened. I think they used the wrong batter for her pancakes, which is a pretty big mistake. Can’t recommend it unless you’re willing to take a chance they won’t make the same error. Their food tastes great though.

This place had a delicious gluten free pancake. I had one with strawberries and some kind of lemon zest with cream.
My reaction is very quick and pretty bad to gluten, even cross contamination. They brought out my food first, told me my food would be cooked separate, and I had no issues.
Great experience and I would definitely go back.

Pancakes were very good. When someone brought my food they asked if I had a gluten allergy. When I said yes they took the side of eggs back and had them recook them on the “safe” side. Not sure why my server didn’t mark the eggs GF? A short walk to Borough Market which is a must-see with many GF options!

Not a gf restaurant, no cross contamination safety precautions. Staff weren't knowledgeable

The food was delicious, and all of their menu items can be made wheat-fee; however beware that they label their items as wheat-free not necessarily gluten-feee. They have a disclaimer at the bottom of their menu stating they cannot control for cross-contamination, but they do ask if you have a gluten-intolerance if you order the wheat-free items.

I have been here several times now, only once has a member of staff NOT been clued up about Coeliac, but then I asked for another server and one of the girls who works there is also Coeliac! Assured me the food is fine for her and she eats there all the time.
On the food front: the batter is great, you wouldn't know it's GF. I think there are 2/3 options from the whole menu that aren't suitable for Coeliacs but they will be able to tell you if you visit as their menus are seasonal. Amazing food, great service and great location.
