We ordered food here last night and explicitly mentioned having a severe gluten allergy (celiac), and that no cross contamination could happen with the food. The food was delivered and labelled gluten free. Based on this and reviews, we assumed it was ok. It was not. I woke up sick in the middle of the night. Tested the food with my NIMA gluten sensor (google it). Multiple dishes we had contained gluten. This is a reckless way to operate a business. Comes at the expense of knowingly shortening a human’s lifespan by telling them an allergen isn’t present, then serving them food with it. Unacceptable and unethical way of operating a business. I would not suggest trusting their “gluten free” label, you very likely will get sick.

I was much too confident eating here because of all the good reviews so I'm posting to remind the next person to be more cautious. Very kind wait staff (they even showed me the gf pita they use is the against the grain brand) but I got quite sick after eating here. Had the tilapia entree, beans entree and a gf pita. Probably shouldn't have been so adventurous. Be careful

I regularly eat at Zorba's for lunch, and have never gotten sick! The food is good, though relatively expensive, especially because gluten-free pita incurs a surcharge. I always ask that staff change their gloves, and have never had an issue. They also have proper gluten-free beer made from sorghum. Very happy to have found this safe place to eat in the neighborhood!

Food was good. Lots of GF options available upon request.

The spinach dip is AMAZING! The GF pita is very good and comes out warm and delicious. 100% recommend it. (Get the spinach dip)
Separate fryer and great gf options
The soup I wanted was labeled GF with modifications, so when I ordered I said I wanted it GF -- didn't realize this meant I'd be charged $1.75 extra for a GF pita instead of the usual side of bread. The GF pita was better than some I'd had before, but I would have rather saved my money and had no bread. They do have GF fries though, which is worth a lot in my book!
Delicious, GF marked, cute ambiance and knowledgeable staff. Fries are safe. Get the shish kebab- they’ll do extra salad instead of the roll.

Decent number of GF options clearly marked on the menu. Had no problems here. Food was good.
DO CALL AHEAD FIRST. when we arrived we found out they did not have any gluten-free pitas.
They advertised GF pita but said they were out of all GF bread. My daughter was very disappointed. The menu looked good but we left.
Everything is marked on the menu. They note it in the order. Good food!
Gluten free thick potato chips and kebabs were great! Love it!
Gluten free items are clearly marked on the menu, and the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. They also have gluten feee beer.

This place is great! Very GF friendly, even had fries and no reaction. Went back for a second time during our 5 day stay nearby, because it was so good!
Zorba the great! We loved the gf pita, which we had never seen before. Gluten free items are clearly labeled on the menu and everything was tasty! Don't miss the round fried potato item. Like a French fry, but with an exciting shape.

GF pitas were very tasty with spinach dip. I enjoyed the dolmas too.
Love zorbas and the gluten free pita is delicious. Love how they mark dairy free too.
I ate here a few days ago, i am GF and DF and both options are on the menu, just make sure to say no cheese on the salad. They have GF pita bread!!! (it was a small up charge but worth it) the food was really good. I will definitely be back! The cookstaff was very nice and were as excited as I was about the pita bread lol it can get very busy in there especially for happy hour, but the hommus is half price then so get there early, I think happy hour is 4-7
Amazing service!! Clearly labeled menu and helpful staff who is knowledgable about menu options. Best part is the gluten free pita bread!! Highly recommend!
Been there twice while visiting D.C. Plenty of GF options (fries are great!). The first evening I was quite impressed since we ordered 2 separate meals with my husband (credits card reasons). He asked for GF fries. When we got the tray 'his fries', since GF were moved on my tray with GF food. Very impressive to avoid cross contamination. The second evening, probably different kitchen staff, less acknowledged, added some 'bread' in my dish..... Luckily I asked for confirmation and it wasn't GF. They cooked again and safely my meal with an extra salad per side. Well it can happen but always be cautious and ask if not sure. Anyway the whole feeling is positive and I would return again.

Pretty good food. Menu has gluten free items marked. Chicken kabob was yummy. I got extra salad instead of a dinner roll, which was nice.
A lot of delicious gluten free options (they even made me gluten free pita bread!) clearly marked and the staff is very knowledgeable. Will definitely be returning to eat again!

Not only is their Greek food delicious, but I love how the fries are free from cross contamination and they always offer something to make up for GF accommodations, like extra salad in place of the pita bread. Such a nice change from places where the GF accommodation is only 1/3 of the regular entree but for the same price!!
