My husband and I choose Ruth’s Chris for our anniversary dinner every year! It’s my favorite steak restaurant for the quality, but also because they take my food restrictions due to Celiac very seriously. I have never had a problem or concern regarding what was safe for me to eat and they have always been great at exposing how they take precautions. Can’t wait to go back!

There’s a dedicated GF menu but it hardly has anything on it. Only one app, a couple of salads and a bunch of steaks. No chicken or seafood and 2 desserts. It was pretty disappointing for our anniversary dinner, especially when the bill was close to $250.

This place was so fantastic. A separate gf menu and staff who were so accomodating. They even split one of the salads in half and gave my daughter a gf dressing and me the standard dressing. The GF Sin Cake (chocolate) was so rich and delicious. 10/10.

Awesome - separate menu describing items on normal menu that are safe or can be adapted for GF. Staff very knowledgeable and if they can’t answer a question they will go and ask. Very happy well satisfied coeliac (who was craving steak after eating Poke +++)

They have a gluten free menu. I asked lots of questions to make sure I would be safe and even mentioned I had celiac disease. I just ordered the gluten free salad. It came out and I asked again that it was gluten free with no croutons. They assured me it was safe. Three bites in and my fork hit something crunchy. Sure enough it was a crouton. As I dug around, I found a number of croutons. Lunch fail. They were mortified, but the damage was done. They offered me several free things and to remake my salad. I declined any more food, as I had no more trust. Avoid this place.

I ate at Ruth’s Chris for my birthday dinner on July 30. It has been great in the past. Our waitress, however, was new and she had no idea about gluten-free items. I told her that I could not eat gluten, and the hostess had already given me a gluten-friendly menu. We ordered the tuna appetizer and I again emphasized it needed to be gluten-free. When it came out, it was served with the beer mustard sauce. At that point, I should’ve sent it back, but the sauce was on the side so I ate the tuna. I then ordered a baked potato and asked if the toppings were gluten-free, and our waitress wasn’t sure. I also ordered the shrimp. It takes 24-48 hours for my symptoms to develop, and tonight I’m 100% sure I had gluten. Every item I ordered was on the gluten-friendly menu, so I think that the waitress failed to communicate my gluten intolerance to the kitchen. If you choose to go, make sure your server understands celiac disease / gluten intolerance. At Ruth’s Chris, they will typically ask if it’s an allergy when you tell them you can’t eat gluten. If they don’t ask, then you’re taking a big chance eating there.

Ruth Chris has a gluten free menu. So many options from appetizers to dessert. From the moment we stepped foot in the restaurant, everyone was very helpful. The general manager came to our table and asked how our meal was and if we needed anything. Our waiter Alex was very nice and attentive to our table needs, he showed great care in making sure my food was did not cross contaminate with gluten. My mom and I shared the 22 oz cowboy ribeye steak, so we figured when the steak came we would cut it in 1/2. To our surprise, not sure if our waiter asked for the steak to be split or if the kitchen evenly split the steak for us so that we each got 1/2 of the steak on our own plate with. The steak had the right amount of fat and perfectly cooked. Even with sharing one steak, my mom and I were unable to finish it. Brussel sprouts perfectly cooked with bacon, garlic mash potatoes were creamy and buttery, cremini mushrooms were again perfectly cooked with perfect seasoning and last but not least the loaded bake potato was HUGE and loaded with the right amount of cheese, bacon, sour cream and butter.. All the sides were very, very yummy! I highly recommend the cowboy ribeye, it was DELICIOUS, tender and melted in your mouth, don’t forget to try all the sides, they are a must!! It’s nice to be able to go to a nice restaurant and just enjoy your food not having to worry about cross contamination! It is pricey BUT well worth every penny!! BON APPÉTIT!

I had no problem related to my serious gluten sensitivity. My problem was poor service and a bad, seriously overcooked steak. We ate there on Mother’s Day. That was the big mistake. They had seriously overbooked the restaurant. We were seated for one hour- twenty minutes before our entrees arrived. My wife and I ordered petite filets cooked medium with baked potatoes. My steak was well done (burned up). Our baked potatoes were cold. The manager was very nice and apologetic. She took the cost of my steak off our bill. I was very disappointed in the service and the food.

Delicious and worth the splurge. A gluten friendly menu is provided if you ask. There were large chunks of delicious bacon in my baked potato. The 8 ounce filet was so soft, rich, and very well seasoned/buttered. I felt safe eating here as waiter assured they’d handle my allergy with care.

I work at this restaurant and the managers do not care. The servers do not care. Celiacs are not safe in Ruth’s Chris.
I came here for Valentine’s Day and ended up having to end the date early because of how sick I got. I knew immediately that I had been cross contaminated. By far one of the worst times I’ve ever been glutened. The servers are really nice about it, and will accommodate as best they can, but the issue is in the kitchen.

I called ahead and asked about Celiac and they were well aware. The waitress didn’t know about Celiac, but asked the chef personally and then was well aware about gluten free procedures. I got the steak, no butter, and crème brûlée. Absolutely delicious. There is a gluten free menu online. I didn’t get any gluten free bread, unsure if they even have it. Overall great experience. I’m very nervous at new places, but I’d trust them for ordering simple items. I’m not sure about anything else without asking for questions from them. Overall I’d probably go back though!
Update: I’ve been to multiple Ruth Chris’ restaurants and this location again. Sometimes they mess up, but thankfully all been caught. Recently got takeout from the one in NC and their machine broke and it took over an hour to get our food. Chef assured gluten free and there was a bag of fresh gluten bread in it. It was all bagged and in containers so I gave it to my husband. Another time they brought out salad and forgot to take off the croutons, but fixed it. Haven’t gotten sick here and hope I never do, but sometimes they seem to forget or get overwhelmed so just be mindful and double check. Great place to eat at overall!

They have a burger for the happy hour that I have had before and it was ok, but this week was not. The fries are NOT GF as they are fried in oil as other breaded items, and they have no dedicated GF bun. So I order it as a lettuce wrap type with a side of mashed potatoes. Well it had to be remade twice because it first came out with a bun, then on the same plate as the fries, and then third one looked correct but I had a terrible reaction shortly after eating it. Sad. This finer restaurant is now off my list.

We dined here while on vacation and my husband had a rib-eye steak and baked potato. Everything was delicious and the server seemed knowledgeable. At the waiter’s suggestion, he had the sin cake (flourless chocolate cake) for dessert. He was extremely ill all night. He has not been this badly glutened in years. This doesn’t seem like a typical cross contamination reaction. It is much more severe. Although we can’t be certain of the culprit, please beware.
