I have had my 2nd bad experience with Five Guys. I have celiac disease. I went to Five Guys yesterday and ordered fries. I felt fine afterwards and throughout the day yesterday. But when I woke up this morning I can’t stop going to the bathroom.
This exact scenario happened over the summer when I went to New York. I went to a Five Guys and ordered fries. Then throughout the day I felt fine. When I woke up the next morning. I couldn’t stop going to the bathroom.
I am never eating at Five Guys again. I don’t think that my bathroom problems are due to anything else but the fries at Five Guys. The only things I ate yesterday after eating the fries were apples and ice cream, which were gluten free.
Be very cautious about eating at this place if you have celiac disease.

Five guys is great as always. Adding for us later.

spoke with the manager and explained I have celiac. the fries are gf and no cross contamination in fryer. he said counters and gloves are clean for no cc. burger option is lettuce or bowl instead of bun. so far I am very happy. extremely happy girl!! no upset stomach!! best place ever!!
The food was a amazing and the staff were very accommodating. They will put your burger in a bowl or wrap it in lettuce. The fries are so good! Food is prepared in separate area.

Gotta love a place where they load up your burger! So much stuff on them you don't think about not having a bun on it. Highly recommended! Fries are gluten free as well and absolutely delicious.
Not a great experience. Asked if they had gluten free options and the girl stared at me weird and then said yeah they do. I asked if they could change gloves and keep food separate while preparing and they said yes but didn’t communicate it to the back people. They didn’t change gloves and they prepared the lettuce burger with a regular bun burger side by side. Didn’t feel confident in no cross contamination.

The usual celiac five guys experience. Staff is well trained and can do a lettuce wrapped bun. Fries in dedicated fryer. Obviosuly not as safe as a sit down restaurant especially if busy but I had no issues.

I love Five Guys! No, they don't have a GF bun but the burger in a lettuce wrap is so delicious that I don't miss the bun at all. They have a separate grill for the buns so the burgers will not have CC and as long as you let them know you have celiac or are intolerant they will change gloves and take precautions. They also have a dedicated fryer so the fries are safe too! Yummm!

Separate fryer for fries. Very careful when preparing a burger and putting it in a bowl. No GF buns. Tell them you have an allergy. They will change gloves. Eaten here many times and have not been glutened
