Excellent service and appreciation of the needs of coeliacs. The manager came to our table to explain the precautions that would be taken when preparing food for my wife who is coeliac. She felt really confident that they knew what was needed. The steaks were excellent as well.

All the sides are gluten free. I had the Cesar, and the filet with a twice baked potato. Our waiter and the manager made me feel very safe. Reassured at multiple points during dinner that my food was gluten free. When delivered to the table, they’d say it was prepared separately. And the food was absolutely delicious. Get the twice baked potato.

We stopped in for dinner after a whale watching tour last weekend. I ordered the pistachio crusted salmon and a wedge salad with ranch. Husband ordered a rib steak with a twice-baked potato. The salmon was cooked perfectly, though under seasoned, but the potatoes and Brussels sprouts that accompanied it were just right. Husband’s steak and potato were great, and the green beans, carrots, and mushrooms that accompanied those were also under seasoned but cooked well. No reaction afterward.

I was very specific with the server, who all but rolled his eyes when I said I had celiac disease. As a result, I was glutened. ever going back.

I had the filet mignon. It was very good. The menu had gluten-free options marked. The servers seemed knowledgeable to allergens. The only issue was when they brought out my food they were actually holding two plates and the plate above mine had gluten containing items. I had no issues.

Great experience dining with a celiac. The Keg takes allergies seriously. Once we arrived at our table, we told the waitress about the allergy (celiac). She responded with the items he could order. The manager is notified and delivered the food. This is standard procedure there now. I was very impressed with the service and care. Of course the food was amazing!

The food was fantastic and it felt very safe. The waiter was very knowledgeable and the manager even came out to reassure us three times that everything was gluten free and personally brought out the gf food! The staff was incredibly helpful not only with GF options, but also with dairy free options as our eldest daughter and I and are both DF as well. Our server was able to tell us which items were safe, and they also have an allergy menu online. Even the manager came over to confirm that we would be getting food that fit our allergy concerns, and we all had an excellent and safe meal!

The food was safe but unfortunately the food was just ok. The bacon wrapped scallops didn’t disappoint but my steak was overcooked and dry. I’ve normally enjoyed my meals at other Keg locations, maybe it was just an off day.

Amazing service! The staff was amazing when I said I had a gluten allergy. They were able to make the shrimp appetizer gluten free for me and it was amazing. The manager even came out to let me know that their staff was aware of my allergy and they were making sure there was so cross contamination. Also you can get the fries baked in the oven and they are better than in the fryer. Great experience and most of their menu is already gluten free. Definitely recommend!!

Beautiful place with great steaks. I had lobster with butter, Caesar without croutons. Great service. Just be prepared to drop at least $100-$200 for 2 people.

When I visited the Keg, I was actually not the most careful with my diet (I am celiac and now am extremely careful). I was pleasantly surprise to see the manager personnaly come to my table and assure me the chef was taking precautions in the kitchen to ensure my food could be as safe as possible. It made me trust this place! The steak was delicious!

While all Kegs we have been to do a good job with allergies, this location does an excellent job. Went a couple times over the past 5 days and was consistently good. GF items marked in the menu, shrimp cocktail, wedge and mixed greens salads, steaks and lobster were all excellent. Servers were attentive and knowledgeable and mangers confirm safety of all items.

I ate here with a group of friends. When I told the waitress I have celiac she was very knowledgeable and was able to tell me everything on the menu that was gf. Almost all of the menu can be made gf! A manager came out and assured me he would be overseeing the preparation of my food. The Keg is one of the safest places I’ve eaten as a celiac, especially the South Common location. They have lots of celiac friendly options, and are very aware of allergies. If you tell them you are celiac and have an allergy the manager will come out to chat with you and go through their GF protocols and ensure you that the food is safe. Options are clearly marked on their menu. I always get the fillet mignon with the garlic mashed potatoes and roasted vegetables - would definitely recommend. If you’re looking for a bit of a fancier spot in South Edmonton, this is the place for you!
