There were no apparent measures taken. I ordered the Tequila Lime Salad w/o the chip strips. The service was awesome!

There was a separate gluten free menu. Our waitress addressed my questions and concerns. My food came out on a special plate with a sign indicating that it was gluten free. It was good and I did not feel ill afterwards and I am pretty sensitive.

We had the best experience here. They have a gluten free menu. When our waitress took our order and noticed my menu she said she would notify her manager. They were super careful my plate was even marked. I felt completely safe and actually normal. I was recently diagnosed so this was a huge deal!

Pleasantly surprised. They have a separate gluten free menu with a few apps, 5-6 entrees, and ice cream for dessert. They also made me gluten free chips and salsa, not made in same fryer. For my dinner I got cheese enchiladas which were delicious. The meals my family got ( not restricted) looked amazing. We had great server and the manager assured the kitchen would be attentive to avoid cross contamination. Also, the atmosphere is very cheerful and inviting. Had no reaction after eating there.

I had the shrimp tacos off the GF menu and they were delicious! I would definitely order them again. My server got me the baked corn tortilla chips, but unfortunately they were terrible - like, completely stale and almost inedible. Hopefully it was just a bad batch and doesn't represent their norm. I asked for a separate salsa to dip them in to avoid cross contamination from my table mates and was accommodated. Service was quite slow on a Tuesday night, but everyone was friendly and we did have a large party.

They have a GF menu-it’s very limited. They offer baked tortilla chips, they are very dry. The queso tastes medium at best. The chicken taco I ordered on a corn tortilla tasted fishy. 3 starts because I haven’t gotten sick eating there- but there are better options around which are not overpriced like this place is.

This was an okay place to eat. Of course the main thing is to not get sick. It was fairly okay food but the good thing was she knew exactly what we could get and what would be cross contaminated.

Cashier was very helpful. Even the corn tortillas are cross contaminated (crispy ones are fried in a shared fryer, soft ones are warmed in the same warmer as the flour tortillas.) Safest bet was a burrito in a bowl. I had the Del Rio, it was very good, had a little kick to it though!

Requested gluten free menu. Advised waitress and hostess that I had a gluten allergy. Placed chips on the table with salsa while taking drink order. Margaritas are not gluten free. Manager came to make sure everything was good before food came out. She advised the chips are not gluten free as they share a fryer with other gluten items. They have baked chips that are gluten free, but aren’t great. I got the chicken fajitas with rice and charro beans. The rest of the meal was fine. Since I had been eating the chips not knowing they could be cross contaminated, I stopped eating chips/ salsa all together. Had no idea the chips were fried or that they could contain gluten! I honestly only go there for the chips and fajitas. So disappointing.

We had lunch here today and they were fantastic! We requested a gluten free menu and the manager came out to confirm with us if we had a gluten free preference or gluten allergy or Celiac so that they could take all the necessary precautions to avoid cross contamination in the kitchen.
They brought us out baked chips and took a little longer to bring us out Guacamole because they were ensuring it was freshly prepared in a dedicated area.
We definitely recommend!

When we informed the waitress that we had two in our party who were gluten free, they supplied us with gluten free menus, and were very knowledgeable on what was gluten free. They supplied us with fresh salsa and gluten free chips. Additionally, the manager came out to verify what we ordered and informed the kitchen of the allergy. They told us gloves and utensils would be changed so there was no cross contamination. Very accommodating and definitely helpful!

I love this place, and their small gluten free menu packs in a lot of flavor. The chicken tinga enchiladas are my absolute favorite. The baked chips are not worth it - every one was chewy and I about choked, but it was a nice thought.

Went here before a baseball game. Service was slow, probably just our waiter though. They have a GF menu that is fairly small. I requested baked chips for my salsa and never received them. The manager came out shortly before our food did to let me know the first batch was burned and they comped all my food. I got the Ixtapa Beef Enchiladas and they were delicious.

I haven’t been able to get food to test negative for gluten in a long time. Partially because every time I try it gets my hopes up and then it fails. Tried at Pappasitos just cause since I was out of town and it passed! Got the tortilla soup. Have not had it in 6+ years. So good! The manager Noah took care of my entire order and I got the I believe the platinum margarita. So good đ left so happy đ

I was very impressed with the safety and quality of the food here. I had two amazingly tasty fish tacos with beans and rice. I can't have dairy, so they were careful to not put butter or cheese on or in my food. However, the GF tortilla chips are not good at all as they are not coated with oil before baking, so they are dry and terrible, but don't let that keep you from this wonderful restaurant.

Stopped here late on a Thursday before they closed. They have a dedicated gluten free menu which I appreciate. It mentions to ask for baked tortilla chips. It took a couple tries to get the waiter to understand what that meant but he was nice about it. The chips themselves were very stale and not worth the extra effort to get them. I had enchiladas which were tasty.

Stopped at Pappasitas to avoid traffic after visiting a relative at the hospital, and toast to my birthday. Sat at the bar and had my favorite margarita wave with sangria. Asked for the gluten free menu, which they readily provided, and the manager came out to discuss the options with me. As a Celiac, I also have other intolerances to high lactose food and most salicylates (tomatoes, potatoes, eggplant and peppers). Knowing the difficulty of preparing my food, I carry a business card I customized on Zazzle.com, which details not only what I CAN'T have but also what I CAN have. This really helps the restaurant and their willingness to help me. I ordered the bacon wrapped shrimp and sautéed vegetables. They were very helpful and accomodating! Greatly appreciate their willingness to serve me. They assured me they would clean the grill before preparing my meal. Service was attentative and follow up diligent to ensure my satisfaction.

Are here with my family (non Celiacs) and had a great time. When you ask for the gluten free menu the waiter asks if it's a diet preference or celiac. If you say celiac then the manager will come over and speak to you and go over the menu and then affirm that the staff will change gloves/equipment.
The chips are fried with gluten so they bring you baked chips (not as yummy) but didn't make me sick.
I had enchiladas and they were delicious. Margarita was delicious too. I had no adverse reactions to eating here and I am a celiac very sensitive to cross contamination. Cant wait to eat here again. Gluten free items come out marked with a little tag that says gluten free.

The gluten free menu is significantly smaller than the one shown online with just a few options. The baked tortilla chips are GF but are horrible. Both my daughter and I were having bad reactions before even leaving the restaurant. The place is WAY overpriced as well. Just hit a taco truck and get corn tortillas and save yourself a hundred bucks.

Hands down the best service, gluten free menus and the manager and chef came out to check on our needs and meals
Talked to my waiter and she brought the GF menu. She sent the manager out and they double checked my selection of enchiladas with the cook. They decided safe except for cohost cheese on top might have cross contamination. Cheese Enchiladas and beans and rice were awesome. Good margaritas too.

Good food. I had the Fajita Platter with chicken and corn tortillas. I asked the manager if they had GF options, and she said, “You can get the #1 or #2 with chicken, or the #3 with beef or chicken.” She told the cook to change her gloves and not contaminate my food. I was very hungry, so the fajitas really hit the spot. The restaurant is definitely not dedicated GF and there are no GF designations on the menu, but I am confident that I will not feel glutened tomorrow.

Our actual entrees were really good, and there were plenty of gf option. I had a delicious fish taco. And the potions were so generous we all had leftovers. However, honestly the gluten free chips were gross. So bad my tortilla chip obsessed 6 year old wouldn't even eat them. And chips and queso is his favorite part of coming to a Mexican restraunt. So if you're coming for a good meal, it's a win. If you're coming chips and salsa/guac/queso, skip it.

Pappasito’s has a gluten free menu! When the waiter saw it in my hand, he promptly offered baked GF chips. Salsa is served in individual cups as a practice at this restaurant. Works for me! Had the very delicious fish tacos! They were wrapped in foil cones to assist in keeping the corn tortillas together and to protect from cross contamination. Also, the manager stopped by our table to confirm all was well and to describe a bit if their GF practices. So kind! The meal was AWESOME and I was able to fully enjoy the experience, not having to worry about gluten.

Make sure to not only ask for the baked chips, but the GF baked chips. Forewarning, they are terrible, but safe and allow you to eat the salsa. Definitely helps you save calories they are so bad. I wish they would just buy store bought ones that are safe if that’s what they are going to offer.
