Most Shake Shack locations offer gluten-free buns for burgers. A lettuce wrap is also an option.
Had a delicious burger with a gluten-free bun. We had several items for takeout, and they put the gf items in a separate bag marked with „allergy“.

Great little restaurant.
When we said GF bun the server yelled into the back to ensure they understood it was “an allergy”. The kitchen folks yelled back and confirmed.
Burger tasted good.
Fries are not GF as fryer is shared with chicken burgers.

Prima en smaakvolle hamburgers! Smaakte daadwerkelijk naar echt vlees en het gv broodje was prima. Veel meer waar voor je geld dan de gele M. Wel wat vet helaas maar erg smaakvol en grote porties.

Shake Shack has a gluten free bun, their burger is good for fast food. This location did not bring my gluten free burger n bun separately on a different tray as to avoid cross contamination. Other locations I have visited have put my burger on a separate tray or bag to prevent cross contamination. I did advise person taking my order that I need to be gluten free. Ask them to put celiac/allergy into the order when placed. Burger was good but concerned about possible contamination.

Throughout the years I have had Celiac, I have always been able to eat Shake Shack. They can make the Shack burgers gluten free as long as you ask them to make it on a gluten free bun and specify gluten and/or wheat allergies. I have eaten there countless times and have never gotten sick. I got the ShackBurger double patty with pickles. (The other food in the picture is not gluten free, as it is not mine)

I wouldn’t try to eat here. The website shows that most of the shakes, the custard, and the fries contain wheat and gluten. You can get a beef patty and something the drink, but that’s about it.

Person taking order marked gluten allergy on each item ordered and also gave verbal direction to the kitchen. She said that staff would change their gloves. Food came out with gluten free stickers. GF buns are decent.
Avoid fries but chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry shakes ok.

The only place I’ve found in this airport that seems to have any allergy protocol. Washed hands and glove change for the order, lots of communication about the order. Just a plain hamburger with lettuce but not bad.

My son & I ate here. I’m gluten intolerant. I was pleasantly surprised —the gf bun & burger were delicious!
Update - very limited options. If ordering a burger, ask if onions are fried!!

No no! They are very misinformed - told me everything is GF except the buns and the fried chicken pieces. Ordered the veggie burger and turns out it has farro. I asked the manager about it and she printed the allergy label and says look- only “soy”. However online it looks like soy and gluten. So there’s 100% a labeling problem at this location. I found the ordering process confusing for allergies.

I believe it was Kevin number 489703 who waited on me and was wonderful. He assured me he would make my meal —lettuce wrapped burger with fries and a strawberry shake totally gluten-free. He was reassuring and very sensitive to my concerns of being a sensitive celiac. Cross contamination issues are serious and would get very sick if I was glutened. Just want to say, if you are celiac, have a gluten allergy, you can go to Shake shack at sky Harbor, and be assured of having a gluten-free meal It is rare to find a place at an airport that provides and accommodates serious allergy prone travelers. Thank you Kevin and crew for keeping me healthy and making us celiacs a tasty burgers, fries and strawberry shake

GF options for burgers include GF buns and lettuce wraps. Husband is gluten intolerant and it was fine. Daughter has celiac and we did not risk trying the bun. (Curious to hear others’ experiences before we take that plunge!) Burgers came in a paper boat with all buns touching... but we didn’t give specific instructions beforehand. Maybe could have avoided that cross contamination with proper communication, as staff seemed nice and accommodating. Dedicated fryer for their delicious crinkle-cut fries. EDIT: according to the website, the fries are no longer gluten-free :(

Burgers are delicious and there is a GF bun option that is pretty good. I believe they can also wrap it in lettuce if you prefer that instead of the bun. Fries are not made in a dedicated fryer which is too bad so I didn’t try those.

I’d eat here again with caution. My daughter is celiac and when we asked about the gluten free bun, they looked it up on their computer and told me it was labeled as having wheat. (?) So we got the lettuce wrapped burger. Next time would just order without a bun, my daughter liked the patty on its own. I am gluten sensitive and ordered the GF bun - but was served a regular bun, so that was a miss. The vegan shake is the only one that seems to be celiac-safe, as it’s prepared separately from all the others, and it’s tasty!

Great GF burger on GF bun. Make sure to let them know it’s an allergy and they will prepare with caution. No go on the fries. I found conflicting info on the shake sauce. Appears it is gf but processed in a facility that handles wheat.
We order from here regularly, never got sick. Last night I was so impressed when they called me to point out that the fries are not gluten free as they are cooked in a shared fryer!

I ordered from the machine and they had a gluten free bun options. When they gave me the order, they packaged the fries in a separate bag and told me that the fries were not gf due to cross contamination. I am celiac but not very sensitive to cross-contamination and I ate them and was fine (not sick), but I don't recommend this for anyone else! Delicious for fast food.

I've had great experiences at this location of Shake Shack. They have a gluten-free bun, and they will activate an allergy protocol to prepare your burger. I make sure to order at the register with a real person at the counter (not one of the self checkout computers at the entrance) so I can explain what I need and ask questions. They have been very helpful and knowledgeable.
The fryer is shared, so I haven't gotten fries. And the Shacksauce has both spices and natural flavors, with no indication of gluten-free or not, so I skip that and just use ketchup. They have an allergen list online, so I double check that to be sure.
I loved Shake Shack before diagnosis, and it's delightful to still get to enjoy it!

No dedicated fryer, and the staff have made mistakes (given me a regular bun instead of gf). With that said, I eat here fairly regularly and usually don’t get sick. Eat with caution if you are celiac or sensitive.

The ordering process was very smooth. The tablets at the front made the gluten free options easy to find. You could also label each item as an allergy issue if you want. We ordered 2 gluten free items and 1 regular..burgers have gluten free bun and lettuce wrapped options.
The hiccup occurred once we picked up our food. We ordered to go and all the items were placed next to each other in the bag. There was no label on the gluten free bun and there was nothing separating from the gluten free items from the regular ones even though we tagged the gluten free items as allergies.
I think it was a simple mistake but it was disappointing.

I got a breakfast sandwich on a gf bun (which was only $1 upcharge!) and it was delicious. I had no reaction at all- but I don’t often react to trace amounts so I’m not sure if there was any or not. But if there was any cross contamination, it wasn’t enough to bug me. Eat at your own risk, but it was very tasty and convenient location (right after the security checkpoint) and I’ll be going back! Not many gf breakfast options in that airport.

I always feel better when I see that an airport has Shake Shack, and I had a great experience at this one. A staffer took my order when I mentioned an allergy, and they proactively flagged for me that the Shack Sauce might have gluten in production and should be kept off my sandwich. Easy order, didn’t get sick.

I have been ordering from this location for a while now. I usually get the burger with a lettuce wrap or a gluten free bun. Got the gluten free bun this time and they have a new, thinner bun- which I appreciate because it’s not as filling as the bigger, dense gf buns restaurants normally use.
