I came to Hudson House several times prior to my Celiac diagnosis and would order their burger wrapped in lettuce and fries - I assumed that was “gluten free enough” for me! But now that I’m truly adhering to a GF diet, eating here felt very tricky.
I ordered the Greek salad, which has sous vide chicken on it that is then finished on the grill. I had to specify many times + send the salad back until they JUST cooked it in the sous vide. I did not use the dressing provided, but instead asked for oil and vinegar. While I didn’t get sick after eating here, it was such a hassle to get this ONE dish made correctly, and I don’t believe that unless you like oysters, there is much else a celiac can safely eat. I’ll just stick to a martini next time 😂

Hudson House has a few gf options. My favorite salad ever - the Beverly with shrimp, has never made me sick. I also have martinis and oysters without issues. Have also had the guacamole app with veggies (no chips or anything fried is gf) and that was good. Nothing on the menu is marked gf. You’ll have to consult with your server. Also ensure they leave off the accoutrements with oysters that are not gf if you order— believe their cocktail sauce is not gf as may be some others.
