Amazing!! I ate here 3 times during our vacation. Located in Balboa Park, beautiful outdoor seating. They have GF/DF homemade desserts!! (Pina colada crème brûlée, and Horchata panna cotta, both delicious!). Also had the sea Bass dinner entree with no revisions needed. For a lunch, had the beet salad with filet mignon. Another day, Cobb salad with shrimp. Servers all super knowledgeable and eager to help. Can’t recommend this place enough!!

I had the steak sushi roll, grilled cauliflower appetizer, and arugula salad. All were delicious. I was really looking forward to the calamari fries, but unfortunately, they said they were worried about cross-contamination because it was a busy day and chicken fingers may have been fried in the dedicated gluten-free fryer. But I was glad they were thorough and careful to make sure I did not get glutened.

Many options are Gluten-free on the menu—kwonelegeable staff. Amazing calamari fries. Paella is not labeled as GF but they can bring it to you.

Lisa, our waitress, was great. She knew what to offer right away and made sure to check w the kitchen to confirm they knew our daughter had celiac when cooking. She had grilled chicken strips from the kids menu (was told it was on a safe grill space). They didn’t cut it because she wanted her to see that they wouldn’t even risk the knives having CC. Substitutes the fries for fresh berries.

We came here for lunch with my 9 year old daughter, who is celiac. She did the fish tacos with beans from the kids menu. Wasn’t the best meal she’s had but happy they could accommodate her. They do have a handful of other dishes on the menu that can be made gf. Overall, a better option than dining at the zoo nearby

It was a jewel in the middle of San Diego…. At balboa park. They have a gluten free menu and they can customized to a gluten friendly menu as your request. The service is top

One of the best restaurants we ate at. We order calamari fries, it’s naturally not breaded and DELICIOUS. We also had paella and salmon with Miso and beurre blanc sauce it was sooo good my kid ordered a second one. Pricey but definitely delicious. They had cheese flan gf and my son loved it too.

Their gluten free lunch menu is limited but they were able to alter other dishes to be gluten free that weren’t marked that way. Very knowledgeable staff. The French fries are not safe as they use a shared fryer.

My son has Celiac - we got the salad and fish. It was yummy. They even gave us gluten-free chips when we told them about my son being Celiac. We'll be back.

I had the most wonderful experience here. I mentioned that I was celiac and our server went through all ingredients with me. She warned me off the complimentary homemade crackers and later brought carrots to accompany the hummus. She also made sure the kitchen knew my order was for someone with celiacs. I don’t mark restaurants as celiac friendly because I’m a newbie and I don’t necessarily know the right questions to ask yet, but if I did, this would be it.

Patio seating at its loveliest!! Well marked menu and staff was very helpful answering our questions. The food was excellent and well presented! I highly recommend sitting out on the patio, beautiful view and atmosphere.
This place was absolutely delicious. We ordered the three skewer appetizer (beef, chicken, shrimp) a salad and the risotto. Everything was gluten free and so tasty. The outdoor patio was also super cute and made for the perfect lunch date! Wish I could go back!

Staff was incredibly knowledgeable, not just about gluten, but about dairy, nightshades (the waiter and the kitchen knew what they were with no prompting)—expensive but very worth it

GF items marked on menu. Food was delicious, but pricey. Service was slow. I did not get glutened. I would definitely go back for a nice occasion.
I had a delicious GF lunch. Staff was knowledgable about celiac disease. Highly recommend!

There was an unusual amount of miscommunication (although I didn't mind the extra glass of wine that just appeared). Delicious food & I felt fine afterward (although I was nervous based on the service). A good option I'll probably use again only when I'm already at the park. I can recommend their tortilla soup, wedge salad, halibut, and jidori chicken with grits.
Great options for GF. Had some amazing fish tacos with black bean soup. GF substitute for complimentary appetizer.

My favorite restaurant in SD. Educated staff on GF. Clearly marked on the menu. Waitress suggested calamari cooked in rice flour. It was good. Had the tacos. Hubby had paella. Both excellent. Tea good too. Will be back
The best meal I had while visiting San Diego. GF items were clearly marked on the menu, the staff was very knowledgeable and helpful, and the food was absolutely delicious. Try the fish tacos!
