    Symptomatic Celiac

I use the recipe on the back of the bag and it makes such a great artisan loaf. Contains wheat starch that has had the gluten removed—Celiac safe but not wheat allergy safe!

JackieDolby13 Has anyone tried the King Arthur bread flour with wheat starch they are saying is gluten free? I have Celiac and I am hesitant because I don’t completely trust that gluten can be removed. I thought I would ask to see if anyone has tried it. Thank you!! 1 year ago

fawn44329 If you are gluten sensitive, then any food with the gluten removed is safe for you. But if you are celiac, definitely don’t do it. Everything from Ommision beer on down.

isabella327 I recently went to a celiac webinar and they discussed wheat and how celiacs truly need to stay away from it with science journals to back the claims up. Hope this helps!! 5 replies

Tracy84 Anything that has wheat attached to its name I stay far away from. I don’t trust gf wheat starch. It makes no sense and, like you, I don’t trust it.
