This experience was terrible for me as someone who is gluten intolerant. Chick-fil-A sandwiches are apparently breaded and contain wheat EVEN IF YOU ORDER THE GLUTEN FREE BUN!!
I got the gluten free bun but the chicken had gluten in it. Apparently you need to order the grilled chicken sandwich in order for the entire order to be gluten free. But why the heck would I order a gluten free bun and get something breaded? People were clearly on autopilot here.

I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich sans the regular bun to opt for the gluten free one, when taking my order they were knowledge about celiac and offered to change gloves! I was skeptical about fast food as this is my first time eating fast food since my celiac diagnosis in 2014!

I was skeptical to try a fast food place since I’m very sensitive but I’ve come here a few times and haven’t gotten sick. The options really are just the grilled chicken, grilled chicken nuggets and the waffle fries. They pack up a gluten free bun that they leave in the packaging to be safe. The waffle fries are in a dedicated fryer. It’s simple but I do enjoy eating there and it’s nice to know that I can eat at a national fast food restaurant which is especially helpful when traveling. I also went to the Chick Fil A in Las Vegas and Utah without any reactions.

Chick-fil-A offers gluten free grilled chicken nuggets and many locations have dedicated fryers for fries. Check with your location if cross-contamination is a concern for you.
I get the southwest grilled chicken salad here all the time. I also like the grilled chicken sandwich with the gluten free bun, and have gotten the nuggets, and the eggs and hash browns, and their french fries. I get little cups of ice cream sometimes. Dedicated gluten free fryer. Never had a reaction in all the years I've been eating here. The eggs are probably the riskiest thing to eat because they make biscuits from scratch in the morning, only got them once when I was starving. A lifesaver when you need to pick up something quick to eat!

Chick-Fil-A is really the only fast food establishment I can eat at without a reaction. They have a fryer just for the fries. I always get a grilled nuggets meal with fries. It has always been fine for me but I also always let them know I am celiac and can’t have any cross contamination. I have never had a reaction at this location and only only location have I experienced a reaction and that was a location in North Carolina.

Though the corporate website has info about gluten free items and the order taker I spoke with not only understood cross contamination but has Celiac herself, I didn't feel well after eating the fries. I bought grilled chicken and fries. They fry the fries in different oil than breaded items so I tried them first. At first it seemed fine but I felt gross and my throat hurt after the fries. I didn't even bother with the grilled nuggets as I've had the same thing with them before. I just won't bother with Chickfila anymore.
