My daughter has Celiac. They were very knowledgable about it. Most of their items are gluten free.

Amazing. I ate a ton of cheese bread. Everything was gluten free except the chicken and the bread on the soup bar.

Manager came out and talked to us about what we can and cannot have. Could eat pretty much everything except for the chicken thighs. Manager told the staff when cutting the meat for us to bring a clean knife to cut with. We could even eat the Cheese bread! One of the places where I feel I don’t need to worry about what I’m eating!

Most meats are gluten free except for some chicken which is marinated in beer. Brazilian cheese bread is delicious and gluten free (made with cassava flour). Some locations have an allergy menu that is very detailed. Mashed potatoes and rice is also gluten free. Almost everything is gluten free. Great experience, but a little pricy

I’m not a huge meat eater but their cheese bread is the best I’ve ever had. Nothing compares. Definitely Celiac safe, well trained staff

So many gf choices! Manager came and spoke to us about ingredients and checked on us twice. Cheese bread is gfree. Salad croutons are made from yuca flour and are gfree. Good food. Good service.
I'm giving this a 4 because they did a great job gluten free wise. Paul, the manager, was fantastic - he understood allergies and ensured we were taken care of. For the restaurant overall I'd give the restaurant a 3. We were at Fogo de Chao in Washington DC 6 months ago and their restaurant was much better. I felt like the restaurant in Chicago skimped a bit - the meat didn't come to our table as frequently and we ordered Caipirinha and we were asked if we wanted the premium / smoother version and we said no - just regular. There was not much alcohol in the ones we received. One of us lived in Brazil and knows how they should taste. They were perfect in Washington. For a $200 meal for 4, it should be perfect,

This is probably my favorite restaurant. My husband and I always take a trip downtown for my birthday so we can have dinner here. Even before I went GF. It is a meat-lover's paradise. They are incredibly accommodating. Just notify your server that you need to eat GF and they send the manager over to let you know what very few things you should not eat. When I went, the only things I couldn't eat were the salad dressings (because they are not made in house and therefore they cannot guarantee their safety), a pasta salad on the salad bar, and chicken that is marinated in beer. EVERYTHING else is safe to eat: HUGE and delicious salad bar (I use balsamic vinegar in place of the dressing), endless amounts of meats, fried polenta, caramelized bananas, mashed potatoes, and best of all the Brazilian cheese bread. In my opinion, this place is simply the best.

Amazing place! Almost entire menu is truly GF even the rolls. Tell your waitstaff that you are GF and they will send the manager over. He explained all the ingredients and food prep. So knowledgeable and friendly. The food was amazing and the service outstanding.
Servers were familiar with gluten and provided me with a gf menu! Most items are gluten free and the entire salad/market bar is gluten free. I also got a crème brûlée that was phenomenal. Everything was so tasty and the staff was very friendly!

All meats are gluten free! There is a separate bar with salads and other appetizer type foods, majority is gluten free. I suggest asking for a copy of the allergy list which is very comprehensive, not only gluten containing foods are listed but a number of other allergens. The food was very tasty! Highly recommended by a sensitive Celiac.

Mostly everything here was gluten free. I was hesitant at first and took some precautions, but everything was great. If you haven’t eaten this style before, they come around to your table with a slab of meat and slice off a portion if you want to try it.
There are several meats that are not gluten free, but there were more than enough options without it. Editing to add, I returned in May 2024 and pretty much everything was gluten free now! Ask for the allergy list as soon as you are seated.
I was skeptical of the buffet, but [at least on the night I was there] almost everything on the table was gluten free. I stood there and watched it for 5 minutes before deciding it was worth it to check out a couple items.
***added a star back because last time I went the staff was knowledgeable and helpful**
Taking off a star for safety due to the waitstaff; somewhat knowledgeable, but also apathetic and not willing to get answers very quickly (like 30 minutes into the meal when everyone else was already eating). My primary complaint was the servers — one was a little weird encouraging us to drink and drive (we did not, of course), and one just did not help at all. We went somewhat close to the opening and seemed like a decent amount of turnover with the waitstaff, so perhaps it was a logistical issue and has since improved. I had a vegetarian friend who went and found plenty to eat to hang with her family, but I’m not sure I would recommend that for the price point. I did not get sick, and was very full :)

Always a yummy delicious time at Fogo! You can look online for a paper allergen menu of what has gluten and what doesn't but most things don't! Came here because we needed a quick safe GF bite and I felt comfortable. Delicious meats as always and getting the bread bites is the best part of the meal. I probably had 3 baskets alone. Staff is knowledgeable and can help you navigate the choices of meats.

A meat lover Celiac's dream. The traveling meat is all gf and most of the salad bar is as well. The table bread is Pao which is naturally gf, as are the croutons at the salad bar.
The service is still getting their feet under them so patience may be required.
