** FRIES AND CHIPS ARE NOT SAFE** Speaking to the manager, after numerous experiences of being told they had a dedicated fryer, I was informed that they often do catering orders and just throw the entire order in all the fryers. Therefore, it’s not dedicated. Additionally the dry rub put on the chips is glutenous. As is the Sweet Dixie sauce.

It’s ok. Really not a lot that is gluten free. Had the brisket. The broccoli and the chips are the only sides that were gluten free. The fries are cooked with the hush puppies.

So thankful to have found this gem! Coming from out of town, being Celiac can create stress but we found Martins by searching for “gluten free bbq” Martins is committed to caring for customers with allergies by partnering with “picknic app” to create a worry free ordering process!! Kudos to Martins for being so amazing! The food is absolutely delish and 100% safe! When looking at their website look for “allergen info” to accommodate any needs.

Ordered take-out at the counter of this location. We were flying blind since we tried to eat elsewhere after appointments at VUMC and couldn’t find parking. Thankfully we beat the lunch crowd and didn’t wait long to order or for the food to come out. I was so tired from being at the hospital all morning I asked no questions and relied on the rave reviews.
We ordered a 12 piece smoked wings with sauce to split and two sides. I had the potato salad. It was delicious and hit the spot, but boy it was expensive! Since I have to go to travel every 6 months to the hospital, I imagine we’ll be back to eat here.

Told the waitress and server I was gf and asked both if what I ordered was in fact gf. Both were unsure and my food came ontop of 3 slices of bread. Very unknowledgeable and no gf markings on menu. Plus food was disgusting tasting.

Great experience. Order at the counter. First person didn’t know much about GF but instantly put me with someone that did. Second person was very knowledgeable about the GF options. Even said unprompted that the fries were fried separately which shows knowledge of the hazards. After the food was delivered to the table, the runner didn’t know which sauces were safe but immediately went and asked. The runner came back, told me which BBQ sauce was GF, and all was good. Very fun evening overall with friends. I definitely recommend this place. No reactions at all. Just make sure to get someone that knows about GF. Not all staff are aware and the options aren’t clearly marked, but some key staff are definitely very knowledgeable.
