I asked for a GF menu and was immediately given one. Food was delicious!!! My only complaint is that the fact that my meal was GF possibly wasn't communicated to the kitchen, and a piece of cornbread was on my plate. It wasn't touching my other food, so I moved it off. All on all, I can highly recommend this restaurant!

Love this place. Plenty of options for the GF group. As a type 1 diabetic I can eat here and feel full and get plenty to eat without missing out on good food. Staff is always wonderful and love supporting their mission as a business

As is true of most places, some staff members are more careful/knowledgeable than others, but they are trained in safety, and they ensure that the kitchen staff knows when a gluten free order is coming back! They have several delicious options, and 5/6 of their bbq sauces are gluten free!!!

Soooo yummy!!! I get the pulled pork plate with green beans and sometimes a sweet potato (seasonal). The cornbread is NOT gluten free. Ask them to leave it off your plate. The staff is always very kind and attentive.

Pretty safe for celiacs. They have a separate prep area for GF. You have to stand at the counter and watch them prep your food though. Sometimes they mess up but of you point it out they will fix it. Dont go when they are busy.

Hit or miss here. They try really hard, but I’ve had macaroni noodles in beans. Maybe the meet only is a better option? If you are celiac, it may hurt :(
We found this place by accident and I’m so glad! This has been one of the best restaurant experiences I’ve had since being diagnosed with celiac. The staff offered to get the manager to talk to me to make sure I was taken care of and the manager made every effort to ensure I felt safe ordering. He had everyone in the kitchen change their gloves (without me asking). They even served my baked sweet potato uncut to ensure no opportunity for contamination. Every staff member made me feel special, not a nuisance. Delicious food too. I didn’t get the fries, but there is a dedicated fryer. Amazing experience!
Yes
This is a great chain for Celiacs - they train their employees on gluten free AND celiac, they vocalize GF orders to the kitchen and they change their gloves, cutting boards, etc. All the sauces are reportedly GF but I’ve heard it’s best to be careful with the sauces that contain Worcestershire sauce bc they may swap out brands that aren’t GF.
Other allergies can be found if you Google search their allergen menu!

What a find! Mission BBQ has incredibly delicious food and really understands gf safety! It is counter service, and the server came around the counter to explain that their frier is gf so the French fries are safe, all the meats too. Of the sides only the cornbread, pasta and potato salad contain gluten. There were ample other side choices available. She called back to the prep area that there was a gf order also. I had brisket and fries. The brisket was some of the best I ever had, and the hand cut fries were amazing. All their BBQ sauces are gf too! The restaurant was very clean, and they are dedicated to veterans and active duty military so the decor was centered around that. Definitely somewhere i will retun to when i am in the area.

My husband and I ordered food here. I ordered letting them know I had an allergy and when he yelled back to let them know, the girl said “which one is has the gluten allergy? The sandwich?” I thought that was an odd question considering the sandwich is made on bread and bread contains gluten. That comment made me a little uneasy seeing maybe not everyone back there understand what a gluten allergy is. Food was good though and I didn’t feel sick after.

Great service, safe food. True American BBQ restaurant. They let the Kitchen know by mouth that it has to be Glutenfree. Even when the food is allready Glutenfree. To take care of safely preparing the food. Feels very good.
