Olive Garden

Had not eaten at Olive Garden in a while. The menu wasn’t very clear on gf options. When I told the waitress I was gf and I asked for a recommendation, I got a blank stare. She ended up pointing to 2 sauces then disappeared. I asked another waiter if I could speak with a manager in hopes they were more familiar with the menu. They never showed up. We ended up just leaving. Very disappointing.

A server checked and the gluten free pasta does not come into contact with gluten. The chef came to our table and informed me that the food I chose it breaded, but can be grilled in a pan will olive instead of butter since I have eat gluten free and dairy free. He assured me every precaution would be made to ensure my food was GF and DF. While this was a new experience for our server, he was interested 8n learning and kept assuring us that each item he brought out was carefully prepared.

This is a go to spot. The Zappa soup is perfect. Salad is always nice. I do recommend checking the salad before eating something there is a crouton hiding. I unfortunately will feel that tiny cross contamination.

The server took our allergies (wheat, dairy, soy protein) very seriously. The kitchen manager came to the table without us asking him to and they made everything perfect. They also have a tablet you can search each item for allergies. Highly recommend! We ordered the gluten free rotini with meat sauce, an Italian sausage, and broccoli.
