They have really good gluten free mozzarella sticks. I would give them 5 stars for that alone but they also had gluten free pasta, pizza, and meatballs. The food was good portions if expensive but honestly I recommend this place to everyone because of the gluten free mozzarella sticks. The pizza I had was also good.

This restaurant was amazing! Almost the whole menu available GF (I had calamari, mozzarella sticks and chicken parm which are always hard to find GF). All of the food came out with a little gluten free flag on it. I never felt sick after. Highly recommend and I will definitely be going back!
We loved it! The best. Pizza was great. Chicken Parm and pasta to die for…would move to NYC just to be near here. Service great too.

Amazing service! Flavor is great….. but it is the same pizza crust you get everywhere not worth coming if you want something like “real pizza” go to pizzarte…. Waaaay better.

We started with the fried mozzarella sticks & calamari since we don’t usually get to have that at home & they were both delicious! Afterwards we shared a pizza & it was great too. We would definitely eat there again but we know to make reservations next time because the place is tiny and is always packed!

EDIT: I came back and got the crispy calamari and the same pizza and got glutened. Not sure if I’ll be back.
I had a pretty good experience here! I didn’t get sick for one. As for the food… the GF pizza was amazing. I also got the octopus plate, which I had to send back. It was very fried, un-chewable, and burned. The whole salad also had a very strong vinegary/pickled taste to it. It was not something I enjoyed at all. On another note, the non-GF person I went with said the pasta is the best pasta they’ve ever had. This place would be great for GF parties, or a GF and non-GF mix.
NOTE: GF food comes out flagged. They have a SEPARATE GF menu.

I got a pizza and the mozzarella sticks. The server was very patient with me and went back to the kitchen multiple times. I also cannot have oats - he checked the ingredient labels! Separate fryer and food was delicious. The pizza is cooked in the same oven on a mesh tray is how the server explained it. No reaction ! Would come back

Gluten free menu with so many delicious appetizer, pizza, and pasta options. Only note is that gf pizza is in the same oven as regular, so not celiac safe. Other than that everything was amazing, and the staff was super careful and knowledgeable!

Absolutely love this place - one of the best Italian restaurants with GF offerings in the city. Staff is very knowledgeable about cross contamination and take all necessary precautions. Love being able to eat both pasta and pizza here. I’ve never gotten sick from Rubirosa (despite frequent visits!)

Had the gf pizza, half white, half tie die, and flavor was delicious. The thin crispy crust had a little chew and had good flavor. Was cooked on its own tray in the shared oven. I was disappointed that I couldn’t have the gf mozzarella sticks as it was a shared fryer. Staff was friendly and helpful. Tight seating.

This place is great! I had GF rice beans and Gf vodka pizza. The crust was crispy and thin. The toppings delicious. My family said that the regular pizza and Caesar were also great. Highly recommend.

My lunch was incredible. My daughter ate from the regular menu and she loved her lunch. We shared gluten free mozzarella sticks which were very good!!! Such a treat to be able to order these!!! I had the chicken parmigiana. It was the best I’ve ever had. Pasta was wonderful. I can’t wait to come back next time I am in NYC. I am celiac and had no reaction.

Dedicated GF menu is awesome! The GF calamari and rigatoni vodka was to die for. You would not be able to tell it was GF. For the regular diets, their non-GF hoise made pastas ar e also fantastic. My partner had the regular carbonara and loved it. 10/10 will be back to try the pizza next

Such a good find! Went on a Thursday night at 6 pm without a reservation and had to wait 30 minutes which is much less than I expected. The food was great I got the mini rice balls and meatballs for appetizers and the tie dye pizza with pepperoni on it for my meal. Mini rice balls were so cheesy! Even my non gf boyfriend loved it, especially the meatballs! Definitely would recommend and the waitress was good and asked about gluten allergies before I even said anything.

Penne a la vodka was to die for. GF meatballs?! Yes, please. The cacio pepe was a little gummy on the first two bites, but then the flavour kicked in and i wished it was bottomless. Pizza crust was a little crunchy, but everything on top of the crust was on point. Need reservations in advanced. Or wait a while for the bar probably.

I used to cry tears of joy when I came to the city and ate this pizza — it was that good. They have since switched their source for gf pizza to a thin, basic, overpriced, inedible (it was so hard to chew it ripped open the roof of my mouth) hunk of garbage. I would write it off as a fluke, but found other reviews to support this as the new norm. Such a bummer. On top of that, my husband got served almost raw, luke-warm meatballs. Save your money.

The extensive GF menu made me so happy! I ordered a GF pizza. It tasted delicious and within 30 minutes I was very sick. I know the dough was GF because of texture difference to my partners pizza. I don’t know what caused this … safety issues?! BE CAREFUL!

I know it sounds entirely basic to go to an Italian restaurant and order the spaghetti and meatballs, but here we are. What used to be basic is now luxury. The meatballs are delicious- flavorful and light. The sauce is what you’d expect from a classic dish. I ate here 2 weeks ago, and I’m still dreaming about it every single day. The mozzarella sticks were also really good, but nothing holds a candle to the basic pasta.
I felt great after, if not sad I barely made a dent and had no fridge at my hotel. No reactions. I’ll absolutely eat here again.
On the practical side, go put your name on the list and shop around while you wait. (Our wait was 1.5 hours at 6.) Lots to do in the area nearby.

The wait time to get a table was a little long as this place seems to be pretty popular; and for good reason. The food came fast once we were seated. The food was excellent. Lots of flavor. Very delicious. My food came marked as gluten free. When it comes to gf pizza crust their crust comes in at a 7, above average but still somewhat toasted around the edges (though that’s pretty much impossible not to do with gf crust). Their flourless cake was very rich but came with a vanilla gelato that complimented it perfectly. I’d recommend splitting it with someone else.

I went last night and ordered a gluten free pizza. The server dropped off the pizza and after eating a slice another server came to the table with a gluten free pizza! The pizza that was delivered to the table originally that I already ate was not gluten free! I have celiac and now I’m sick as can be. The owner called and apologized and said the server was terminated but I don’t think that was the right choice. This was the kitchens fault. They should have a better system identifying the gluten free food! I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE GOING HERE!

This place is amazing! My mother is from Italy and I still visit Italy yearly (not this years no thanks to covid)! My mom has been in Italy and missed her cooking dearly. This restaurant was highly recommended by one of my celiac friends so my husband and I gave it a try. Oh my, it has amazing flavor profile and authentic Italian recipes! The gluten free options were amazing! I I also had gluten free mozzarella sticks and the vodka pie which were so good! Showed my mom pics and she's added this place for places to visit when she returns!

Good GF pizza and great pasta! They told me the pizza is cooked in the same oven but on a tin. Lots of options. Hard to get a table but they also deliver.
Yes
Delicious thin crust pizza! I love gooey cheese so I would recommend “extra cheese” but it’s wonderful. Also enjoyed calamari which was excellent as well. Not a fan of the extra thick breading on the mozzarella sticks so that was not a win for my taste. The restaurant was packed and the service was great.
The gluten free pizza is amazing! Waitor was very knowledgeable as to what we could eat!

Excellent GF options. The meatballs were the best I have ever had, before or after celiac.

Limited seating, but great food. The rice balls are amazing. Most food can be made gluten free. The staff clearly say gluten free when they set down a gluten free item. I’ve gone twice and never gotten sick.
