Everything was GF and the food was excellent. Pricing seemed better than other GF bakeries too. I got 5 pastries, a breakfast sandwich, and a matcha for under $50.

Amazing food! Lines are super long (expect 60-90 minutes). I am working my way through the menu and so far each item I’ve had has been lovely. Cinnamon roll likely rivals gluten ones! I have other allergies. They have yet to make available an allergy menu but said it was coming. They have been able to accommodate some of my allergies. They said vegan items are in the works for those who are restricted. In my opinion well worth the wait but hopefully as they get into their groove things move more quickly.

This place is unbelievable. Had a sandwich and got some pastries, everything was fantastic. I went on a Saturday and line was long but moved quick. Will definitely be going back !!!⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I am so grateful Verveine opened up in central! The queue to get in and order took an hour (so prepare to wait). But, this is a lesson for how strong the demand is for places like this! It is 100% GF/celiac safe but it is not advertised as such to avoid stigma and promote business I believe.

In terms of their food, the items I have tried so far are fantastic (baguette, galette, scone). They were delicious and VERY close to Parisian quality! They also offer sandwiches, bowls, etc. To be honest, I was a bit disappointed to see a huge chunk of their baked goods seem to be cookies and muffins. I’m hoping they start making more pastries, tarts, etc., moving forward since they are obviously trying to evoke a French style.

Regardless, it’s great and I’m so deeply grateful for the food here. It is so MASSIVELY superior to all other GF bakeries nearby! No comparison. It’s on a whole other level of deliciousness and authenticity! These chefs are definitely masterful at their craft. Definitely get out here if you can. It’s so nice to have a place like this nearby finally!

I saw someone in another comment say they wish this place would become a chain. I understand that. I would love to see more celiac safe places popping up everywhere. But, I deeply hope this never ever becomes a chain. Quality always tanks when that happens (just look at life alive). Please please never ever sell.

Line is crazy long because it’s so good so just fyi if you go on Saturday it’s like an hour wait. But everything is FANTASTIC. And you can eat giant gluten free bread! I haven’t had giant bread since before I was celiac. Completely worth the wait!

I love local places. I support local places. I go miles out of my way to shop independent local places. However, i really hope Vervienne becomes a chain because people worldwide should get to have this experience. Absolutely amazing food. My son is celiac but I cannot wait to go back. This is next level. I didn't notice that they advertised that they're GF. You cannot tell!

So excited to have a dedicated gluten free bakery and cafe. The chocolate cookie was so good. The potato leek focaccia was tasty, but a bit salty. I’m looking forward to trying the blueberry muffin for breakfast.

We arrived just after 9, ordered at about 10, got our food at 10:15! They were out of cream puffs but that was the only thing we asked about that was “out” by the time we made it to the counter. I loved my black sesame latte, BEC breakfast sandwich and matcha basque cheesecake. My partner loved his spicy avocado toast. I cannot wait to dig into everything else I bought!! Definitely recommend lining up early at least for now. Fingers crossed they continue to be this well loved by the community, it’s the best GF bakery I’ve ever been to, I think.

Edited to add: my #1 fav was the cheddar jalopeno (? I think) scone! I heated it up about 50 seconds in the microwave covered by a damp paper towel and it was perfect. Chocolate chip cookies had an incredible depth of flavor, same with the ube brownies (turned our tongues purple lol).

My family and I went out of our way to try a new place. They couldn't cater to other allergies like dairy and eggs. Everything was pre prepared or gone. I ask if there was anything at all we can have and the answer was no. After stepping out of line I realized I they could of offered a cold brew or ice tea. I saw everyone drinking it and they even had almond milk options. At this point the line was extra long. I'm am not going here ever again. Not worth it if you have other allergies. But food looks delicious though.

LOVED IT HERE! Has the rhubarb scone, chocolate chip cookie and honey chili tuna melt on sourdough. One of the best gf meals I’ve had since getting diagnosed. Was delicious and so nice to have so many options!

I visited on the first Friday Verveine was open around 9:45 and there was a long line that moved pretty slowly. They were sold out of baguettes and cream puffs and didn’t have kore available when I left at 11am. Seems like they are ramping up to meet the incredible demand.

I tried the carrot muffin, cheddar scone, Nutella roll, biscuit sandwich, and peanut butter miso cookie. All except the scone were excellent. The scone was oddly sweet and had a texture that would have been better warm. I cannot wait to try the rest of their menu.

Truly 10/10. On par with Modern Bread in Bagel in NYC for quality. They’ll probably be busy for the next few weeks since they just opened but I hope to get bread and pastries from here a lot!

The line was very long but it moved very quickly. When we got to the front we asked if it was safe for celiacs and it was!! They had a lot of options on the menu. I got the Jambon & Beurre. The food came fairly quickly. The bread was extremely good. It was nice, and had the right amount of crunch and fluff. The pickles were a good add even though I didn’t personally like it, it was a nice compliment. I think they could have added less butter but even though, it was still a very good sandwich! It’s a great place for people with celiac disease

This is my favorite gluten free restaurant in Boston! The cafe was packed when I went opening week but the staff handled the crowds so efficiently and I didn’t have to wait long for my food at all (I went during peak lunchtime hours).

I got the grilled cheese and a Funfetti cookie which were both amazing! I appreciate that their prices are reasonable for gluten free - my meal was under $20 which is less than I usually pay for lunch in the area.

Can’t wait to come back and try the salads and other sandwiches!

The full cafe/bakery experience with every pastry and type of sandwich under the sun - not just plain white bread. Baguettes, pita pockets, sourdough, biscuits… the list goes on. This place is heaven on earth.

I got the Hot Italian sandwich today. It was even better than I was hoping for. The sour dough ciabatta was not just a holder for the meat and cheese but an star ingredient. I Can’t remember the last time I really enjoyed a sandwich but I do know where the next one will come from!!

What an absolute delight to be able to eat at a “normal” bakery again where everything looks and tastes amazing and is safe! Totally appreciate the premise of not pushing that everything is gf to make it appealing to all, although the staff was ready to confirm and were to explain exactly what I can’t have with a nut allergy as well (mainly things already marked like peanut butter cookies, and they asked questions about cross-contamination risk when food sits next to something made with nuts). The BEC, potato leek focaccia and chocolate chip cookie were all insanely tasty and really felt like “normal” food, and I can’t wait to dig into my sourdough loaf! So grateful to this team for creating such an incredible spot

Incredible new dedicated gluten free bakery. It has bread!! (And bread in the European style at that.) such delicious baguettes and baked goods. The pastry was so flaky. I’m so excited to try here for lunch.

They don't advertise it but the staff confirmed that EVERYTHING (sandwiches, cookies, biscuits, etc) is gluten free and celiac safe!!! I tried the jambon beurre and hot Italian sandwiches, and both were delicious. I can't wait to go back! They also had bags of WLDFLR GF flour and GF granola available for sale.
