I love Red Robin. It takes me back to childhood. I’ve never gotten sick at a RR. When I asked for a GF bun the server asked if it was an allergy and noted it for the kitchen. She clearly took my restrictions very seriously and I felt safe eating here. I did not have any negative reaction.

We didn’t used to like their gf buns but after a few years we recently tried again and they have gotten much better. I know they’re a chain and can vary depending on location but the north Austin restaurant has been good. We’ve ordered twice now and didn’t get any flare ups after eating. Was actually quite impressed. Now the price has gone way up. $20 for a gf burger and side but when you don’t want to cook it’s worth it.

They used to be really great about cross-contamination, but seem to have gotten lax in recent years. I got horribly glutened tonight.

Red Robin has gluten-free buns for their burgers. Many locations also have dedicated fryers for gluten free-fries. Please verify with your server.
Read their website on sources of their food. says they cannot guarantee if their suppliers change their ingredients without notice. Not reliable for celiacs.

Their GF buns are pretty tasty, and I'm a big fan of the lettuce wrap offering they have.
However, after having many conversations with the staff and several managers, I'm pretty much confirmed that the seasoning salt that they use on the fries if you don't ask them to be plain and the hamburger unless you specifically ask them not to (which contains gluten) is often added to the meat itself before they prepare the hamburgers.
Just a process thing, and there is no way to remove it. Therefore, Red Robin is not celiac friendly, and is a risky place to eat if you are trying to avoid contamination as much as possible.
But, if you can tolerate small amounts, they have a variety of yummy burgers.

Great lunch option and most burgers available gluten free. b
Clueless waitstaff and unpleasant managers who don't want to be bothered by someone who has gluten issues. I was advised by the manager to not eat there at all.
Gluten free buns!!
Really good lunch ! I got the cheeseburger with a gluten free bun and allergy fries, with are fried in a separate fryer. Definitely recommend and the food was delicious, my waitress was very nice and knowledgeable of celiac’s disease.

when i mentioned i had celiac disease our waitress mentioned that she did too!! i was nervous coming here but that eased my anxiety. she helped me figure out the online interactive allergy menu, and made sure my fries all came from the gf fryer. they offer gluten free buns but i just got a lettuce wrap. fry sauce is not gluten free which was sad but she brought me mayo and ketchup. food came out marked with a purple pin- waitress mentioned they have purple pins, purple gloves, and purple knives and equipment to remind them while prepping food! burgers are made on the same grill but she stated they clean the grill well when things are ordered gf. i had no issues afterwords!!

I’ve been here multiple times and their burgers are always amazing. I haven’t had a better burger, and I have been trying to make a burger like Red Robin for years, and have never made it so good. Would highly recommend the reds double, they have separate fryers and gluten free buns.
